I do recall Kobe from a few tho, but just because some said he’s Kobe on here doesn’t make it truth

Green was always Booker/Beal…if he ends up on that level, u take it, and if he ends up better, that’s gravy

he wasn’t hyped as some generational prospect

Jalen Green shot 6-20 in front of this Sixers crew and their commentators still had more praise for him than 90% of this message board.

 

I actually saw Green post up a smaller player tonight.

I think this kid is going to make a lot of people look silly in a few years.

 

this was one of the worst game threads this season . . . and that's saying something given some of the games we've lost

 

I remember people sharing a video of someone saying Green has the same take off stance as Jordan or similar style "two legged" take offs. That's about it.

 

Not sure about all the Green hate.

Guy had 29 on 20 shots, got to the line 17 times.

That is extremely promising.

 

I thought this was a ok game from Green, his ts% looks good because of the free throws and he was the only dude besides Garuba who hit any threes in non-garbage time.

He looked engaged too, which is good because we need that fire back

 

Green is getting these high ft attempts in his second season without even doing things like embellishing or looking to draw contact first. Once he learns these things I can see him being a 10fta type of guy just because of how often he beats perimeter defenses.

 

Harden is on a low carb, low calorie diet sir

 

Most people in the NBA recognize that Green has immense potential. It doesn't mean he doesn't have things to work on, and it doesn't mean he's always going to linearly improve. You saw today that he got to the line 17 times, that is a great accomplishment by him. His negative is that he didn't shoot well at all. Last year he would not be capable of getting to the line 17 times, so that's an improvement.

 

I think the Kobe comparisons were more the prototype he is. The kind of athletic slasher that can hit tough contested shots and explode for points any given night. Which is what he is right now.

He just needs to raise the floor of his bad games, right now his bad games are really bad while his good games are amazing. If he can figure out how to not have terrible terrible games he'll be a lot better...obviously.

Also, a lot of people aren't considering that some nights he's seeing a lot of attention. The Miami game for instance they came into that game with the goal of making sure Jalen had a bad night and he has no idea how to beat doubles.

 

No surprise some are too ready to replace Garry with Dari Bird...lol

And with Boban, we have the league mascot, where, in a blowout, teams are required to turn into the Washington Generals and let Boban entertain the crowd during trash time.
