Anyone catch the premiere? I actually liked Denis Leary, someone I can barely tolerate at best. I was afraid that they'd overplay the 9/11 tragedy, but I think they did a good job with that story line. Wife's hot.

I saw some of it but not all of it. It seemed pretty good for what I saw. Basically, Leary's character is carrying around a lot of emotional baggage it appears. The previews for the next episode looked pretty cool. Hey, as long as it's no "BackDraft" and offers a glimpse into the lives of firefighters, then I'm all for it as long as they keep it interesting. Apparently, Leary has a lot of NY firefighter buddies and is intent on making it as realistic as possible.
Anyone catch last week's? They made comments about the Astros, Clemens and Pettitte...talking **** about the last two. It was hilarious.

Strangely, last night was the first full episode I watched. I'm planning to go back through the series. I was always interested but, for some reason, never got it in my regular rotation.
solid finale, solid show, never missed an episode. yet strangely, i'm not all that sad that it ended and i'm not going to miss it that much.
Very solid series. Watched the finale and thought it was well done...It has tanked over the years, but seeing the character highlights between commercials reminded me of how great this show really was..
