for a second i thought they were gonna change it up from the game when the episode was almost over and everyone was safe but that was a ruthless 4 minutes they squeezed in at the end

Episode 3 was good but nobody can deny the obligatory fan service

Pay attention episode 3 lovers! Now, this is how you introduce two characters and meaningfully connect them to the main story while making you care about them and solidify the human connection some of ya'll keep on jabbering about, not the straight up boring garbage episode 3 was. This episode (#5) was freaking amazing, entertaining and full emotion and human connection. This (and his daughter in episode 1) is how you connect to the protective instincts of Joel that he continues to grow and develop for Ellie, not a suicide letter from a couple they met in their travels.

F'ing great episodes, this show has been fire on episode 1,2, 4 and 5, absolute fire!

Real good episode, even if the Bloater was a fleeting three second cameo which provided exactly zero danger to them.

I don't know what you're doing, but you need to quit doing it.

Thought this whole Kansas City plot line was dumb

2 dumb episodes back to back.

probably will check out til the season is over to hear if it improves. Bones are there. Pedro is a great actor. Sets and makeup are good. But bad writing, bad characters, bad plot lines. Liked first half of episode 1, all of episodes 2 and 3. 2nd half of 1 and 4-5 are stale.

If you don't like the criticism of episode 3 then legitimately dispute it, like others have done. It was absolutely hot boring garbage.

Yeah, I found the first 30 minutes of the show to be the best part of the series by far. It's a good show, and I'll keep watching. But from what I understand it's supposed to be a wildly different take on a Zombie story, but honestly, I don't find it all that different than the first couple seasons of The Walking Dead before I stopped watching. Those early episodes of TWD were also extremely "human," with Zombies being kind of the engine that drives the characters. At this point, I can't even really say it's "better" than TWD. Maybe I'm not picking up on some nuance that is supposed to make it so unique/great.

Things that are different from TWD so far:
    • There’s an organized government.
    • There are different types of zombies.
    • There’s a quest, they aren’t just surviving.
Other than that the production value is a bit higher, but that’s to be expected with HBO, and the acting is a bit better as well.

You know I could never get into TWD. All they ever did it seemed was basically run around the Georgia forest. It was always the same freaking forest too.

I was happy to see Kindergarten Kathleen killed by Kid Clicker, but I was wondering why the bloater seemed more interested in ripping apart whoever got in its way vs the traditional way of seeking to expose their victim to the cordyceps like the other zombies in the series. It seemed like it was sentient in a vengeful monster rip your head off kind of way…

Honestly, if I were you, I would peruse the graphic novels then listen to the pre-sequel on cassette before I even touch the books.
