Ahhh hahaha this might be Stone's best move yet :D:D:D

Talked all that crap (right or wrong doesn't matter) just to get traded here and then waived by the Houston rockets lol

I wish they would keep him and make him earn his spot in the rotation like he said when they asked him to sit. Only so tyty can bust his ass in practice and then sit at the end of the bench and watch Daishan Nix check in the game before he does

They should invite him in for a press conference.

A strong reminder that not all number 1 picks are made equal. Wall wouldn't b drafted 1st in a stronger draft class.

Hope he learned a new language cause no one's gonna sign him to a big money contract.

Clippers would rather get rid of him even though they sorely needed a pg.

turns out this aged pretty well. "The things the rookies were getting away with, on any other team, they would be out of the league"

Btw this board for years talked about how EG was necessary and that his vet presence was so coveted. He was significantly the longest tenured vet on the rockets who has experienced the most success. What was he doing this entire time?

It was evident EG was never that type of player to lead a young group nor did he care to. It was never his priority. When Jalen Green told the world he was considered the vet on pg13's podcast that was pretty telling. And JG being the one calling out CWood is just icing. The rockets were the worst team in the league for years because that's exactly what they were.

Good point. EG never struck me as a leader at all. He seems more like that guy who just comes in, does his thing with only the necessary interaction, then leaves immediately to hang out with his real friends.

exactly. I mean there's nothing wrong with that. Not every player has to embrace being a mentor. In fact, that's not in every players dna just like being a leader isn't.

The issue is just don't expect him to be in the first place. It's no secret once he accepted that he wouldn't be moved to a playoff team for awhile, he rather than make a big media fuss about it just went about his day as a professional and continued to just play until the time came years later.

All the rockets drama internally he basically was like welp not my problem. let these youngsters go at it

That's why I laugh everytime someone on here says we need to bring in player X to be a veteran mentor for one of our young guys. "Melo would be great on this team! He's done everything and is ready to pass that knowledge on to a new generation!" B!tch, please.
