It's just 30 or so players playing a handful of games... how are you making plus/minus/whatever determinations out of it?
You're not looking at their WBC performances. You're looking at the WBC players' regular season MLB performances vs their other years and comparing to the non-WBC players. (or just their April's or just their Pre-ASB, whatever data set you want to look at) So for examples, if the average non-WBC MLB players' offensive stats are up about 10% this year compared to last season due to lack of shifts, maybe a different baseball, unusually warm summer, etc - that's your baseline. But then if the MLB players that played in the WBC's stats are down 10% during this year's MLB season, then that's an interesting data point. If that's consistent across however many WBC's there have been over the years, then that's a stronger data point. If the differential is smaller, that's less meaningful; if its bigger, that's more meaningful. Etc. I think the analysis is pretty straightforward; I just don't know if it would show a statistically meaningful differential or not, so I was curious if anyone out in the world had maybe looked at that data.

The question i whether it's higher, lower or the same than any other season. I have wondered about Fall and Winter leagues as well. Can year round baseball be detrimental? If GOD rested on the seventh day, baseball players should too. We have grown accustomed to ignoring the value of rest.
Then I will politely ask why? Do you not rest? Do you work seven days a week? Do you not take breaks (vacations?)
