I feel last season was better than this season. You had Wood sulking and Porter Junior leaving the arena in the middle of a darn game and still played alright at the end.
I have a feeling that everyone labeled a "hater" would be more than happy to eat crow if Jalen was performing great. Problem is, there isn't any crow on the dinner table tonight, just boiled brussels sprouts and three-day-old fish. Inconsistency and youth is a thing, I know. But people are allowed to be frustrated too. I, for one, am very frustrated with some of his performances this year. I want my lil dude to do well. But he's also a professional athlete who doesn't need any coddling.
I think the honeymoon is over. I had high hopes after last year. Now I just judge him like any other Rocket. It's just overall annoying watching him on the court
Jalen is all about the highlight and nothing about the result. That’s a massive problem. He shouldn’t be starting right now until his game becomes much more consistent. He’s simply not good enough all around to build an NBA team around yet, but he thinks that he is. Dude needs an ego check.
NBA coaches are way too afraid to make stars ride the pine for a few games. When there's no accountability and no discomfort there's no growth. I think it would be good for the org to start another guard for a game and see how Jalen responds. Probably with something super inspiring like: "Ma th ga of basbal is par me, dis ma desny". This also goes for everyone on the roster. After performances like this 3/5 starters ought to be flipped for next game.
Yeah, times have changed. Stars of nowadays are not the same as in the past. All these young kids are extremely social media conscious and bball success is secondary to self-promotion and financial increase. I don't blame them, it's the smart move, it's just not going to sit well with fans who only care about wins and don't realize the game is not played by robots. That being said, JG has sucked all season long. We need a real coach to show him how to succeed and to help develop winning bball habits.
People who don't have a knowledge of how the media business works are just not going to get it. You don't know what you've never had. These guys have to post on a schedule, it's part of being a smart business man. Their social media accounts are REVENUE GENERATING SHOPS, it's where they can generate various kinds of partnerships and deals. You don't stop your business when you lose an NBA game, that's absurd. Further, they have people helping them do this. It should be obvious to some of these monkeys given the players are clearly not the ones taking these photos. When they come out with a loss or a win, their social media person will come to them and say "look I know you're not feeling it right now, but we have to post something". A player that suddenly forgets to do this every time they lose is an emotionally weak player. Game over, you move on till the film session. Next game is a new game.
Yeah I’ll never be mad at Jalen (or TaJabari) for social media stuff, it’s not just athletes but how young people today do things. When he plays poorly, I’ll definitely call him out on it but I won’t make assumptions on his character based on a couple of poorly timed instagrammies they do look fly too
They fooled us we getting 6’6 kobe type mentality player.”gymrat”. We got 6’4 iverson who cant dribble finish and play defense. And i bet you he aint no gymrat, he would br 20pounds heavier by now
Maybe the league whispers from the national podcasters about KPJ ruining him were true. No inside info, he just caught the Loser bug from KPJ. AAU ball, no team mentality, empty stats that don't contribute any to winning.
