they still won't be that pricey until they start winning consistently. so now would be the time to invest if anyone is still looking for season tix going forward. tix to games were practically free in recent years
Most of the lower seats were gone last year. Still a few to be had but last seasons attendance really wasn't indicative of the availability I saw online last year. At least from what I remember. Houston is like that though as a city. Corporate folk buy the seats but never use them. I'd imagine the turnout for some of these games is going to be pretty good though. TCU, UT and OSU specifically.
For sure the UT game will be a sell out probably. But a lot of that is going to be bc of all the UT following. but that game is definitely circled on my calendar to go. And with UT leaving for the SEC who knows when the next time this matchup will be again
If there was some magical rule that said no UT fans were allowed in, the stadium would still be at capacity with a huge line to get in. Currently trying to decide between coming for a game on Sept 2nd or Oct 21.
This does not happen at UH except for in the club/suites. There is no big corporate accounts for seats in the general lower bowl like with the Rockets, Texans, etc.
I'm in the second row 25 yd line. Most folk around there seem to be alumni of.... some means. People who can afford those tickets and not necessarily need to go to most of the games. Guess that's what I mean. Houston people gonna Houston.
I'm in the Yeoman Hall section. Those seats are the least expensive before you hit the suite/club level and they almost never go unused. Most are just regular folks, long-time donors. Pretty much any seats outside of the club/suites are cheap enough that a middle class person can "afford not to go". The problem is the team and schedule have largely sucked for 5-6 years now. We don't have a captive market with room for error to go through long stretches of crap product like that.
If by "what we're dealing with on a day to day basis" he means the coaching staff and play calling then....yes. Red Bull needs to just shut up and field a team not fighting themselves, the other team, or false starting every other possession.
Dude is just lining up his excuses for his inevitable failure down the road. Couldn't even cut it in AAC. He didn't even have the basics down right. UH was an absolute disaster last season and it had nothing to do with not having enough or the right resources.
