Trading away KJ Martin, one of the few players that does good things on this team without the ball in his hands on a roster that is full of talent that needs the ball would be so stupid. Martin fits this roster and primary options so well.

I get your point, but this roster is going to turnover completely, short of a few key players, which makes short term fit irrelevant.

KJ should be a keeper at his age and ability + potential…

Im afraid Stones going to throw him into an EG trade though just to save face on a potential return instead of a buy out. That would be a compounding mistake

I think he’s going to leave eventually but I guess we have another year to trade him if we want. Could also make him restricted and match any offer. But generally if a guy doesn’t want to be here, it’s not a bad idea to move him at peak value.

Ngl gonna lie if more of our players emulate kmj playstyle, they would b scoring a lot more. Sengun feeds those cutting to the basket

Rockets have been seeking very good 1st rounders since Oladipo, and have yet to get it

Oladipo, Wood, EG...Where are the 1st rounders they claimed were available in abundance at?

so if Stone did ever trade KJ, I expect a bullsh*t return...some useless player and some 2nd round picks

That’s exactly what their trying to do. Their a clown show and will trade the most athletic player in Rockets history for the 20th pick. A smart team would keep and start the younger KMJ at small forward and boot the older Tate off with EG instead for the 20th pick.

I don’t have any inside info, but I would bet that he won’t sign an extension and wants to leave.

Maybe not if we build around Sengun and get rid of KPJ. I bet KPJ gets on the nerves of someone like KMJ (and other players).

Jake Fischer: The Houston Rockets are a clear seller. Eric Gordon, they’ve been looking for a first-round pick. Today I heard Jae'Sean Tate is a player that has received a lot of incoming calls.

From his podcast. Hope it's true. Maybe Tate gets moved instead

Tate is the type of veteran they should keep to teach and be a positive influence on the younger players. Gordon needs to go, he brings nothing at this point.
