I agree to the point of... once the Rockets are able to net said franchise player in the draft, they can use their future draft picks obtained to round out their roster and possibly sign a big time free agent. If every draft pick becomes a ho-hum then nothing you can do about it as a free-agent alone can't save a team by himself.

I love The Rockets but imo they are not getting Wemby. He's a marketable talent & the NBA doesn't want him here in H-Town and its getting pretty obvious Its bizarre how the mainstream media has reported on the Rockets rebuild thus far. They've basically been crapping on the Rockets at every turn.(some of which is warranted) No other rebuilding team has gotten public backlash about the way they are going about things. Calling the Rox a clown show, GM's & owners around the league laughing at what we're doing. Former players calling out the team. Players basically saying yall have no clue how to utilize your weapons. The NBA is about money and ratings they'd rather pair Wemby with LaMelo in CHA or let Pop develop him in SA

I think the fear is more about the organization. Lack of structure, accountability etc.. Our guards are being coached to play that way.
