Abdelfattah drew up the winning play last night against Detroit. Look at the intensity. The focus from the players. John Lucas trusting him on the biggest play of the game. And then the execution.

There’s a good chance Abdelfattah becomes the next stud out of the Rio Grande Vipers coaching tree (Chris Finch, Nick Nurse, etc.) I for one, would not mind making him the head coach next season if we struck out on Synder or Atkinson.

Here’s a short clip getting to know a little about Abdelfattah:

Hopefully Abdelfattah's negligence of the tank does not cause us to lose Wemby. All those losses and we get nothin because this dude want's to show the world he can draw up a winning play.

It is a rare post you did not mention Sengun. How come? Please edit.

Certainly more fire than I have seen from Silas, like, ever.

That said - and I will leave it at that, because this is the GARM - I hope he preaches peace with people of all religions, and that he doesn't use the NBA to promote particular ideological goals of one type of people vs. other types of people. It sounded a little bit like he wants to use becoming more well-known as a platform. I hope this only ever promotes peace, and that it never becomes a distraction.

This is bigger than Sengun, this is a chance for The Rockets to finally draft a franchise player.

Why Snyder or Atkinson? Those guys got their window and failed and costly to hire. Give this man an opportunity.

If not Abdelfattah, one of the Nuggets' assistants might make sense.

    David Adelman?

I strongly believe John Lucas (my candidate for the job at the time) was
offered the head coaching job........took the weekend to think about it.

In the end, JL, said no as the job pressure issues do not match up to the pay.

At the time it was reported D'Antoni was offered $5M.....but it would drop
to $2.5M if management fired him or the team failed to make the playoffs.

I doubt Silas gets paid more than $2.5M per year

I just have a hard time seeing Stone bet his career on another rookie HC. As others have pointed out, a GM usually only gets to fire one HC before the heat turns up on them.

He’ll probably want to go with a safer and experienced option.

I think that interview is from last year eid mubarak.. the title and note from that video on youtube also said that.. so Abdelfattah gave his opinion on the muslim side..

*just a thought, dont want to turn this into D&D :D

It's pretty simple, you make him one here or else..

He becomes that someone with another team.

I say No to David Adelman because after Silas I'm just out on goofy looking head coaches.

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing a bit. Plus, the whole "he is in the NBA because of his dad, not because e.g. he was a great player himself" thing.

Every time I watch a Nuggets game, I see that guy on the sideline and think he looks like the dude from Impractical Jokers. Didn't know he was actually a good coach.
