That is surprising. He could have been picked up by the Rockets if he wanted to play for them at a relatively low price. He could start for the Kings if Brad Miller starts at the 4 until Webber gets in shape.
The fact that we didn't sign him makes me feel like there might be something to the McInnis + Battie speculation. Probably just being optimistic...
That really burns me up. What possible reason could the Rockets have for passing up on that deal. Now I'm getting worried. I don't care about PG, we need front-court defensive help. Damn. I'm pissed.
Darn, I am biginning to get worried. Ostertag is a CHEAP deal with vet minimum! He is like 7-2 and got a big body, and he is not even a stiff, a good FT shooter too. I can't believe Rockets didn't snatch him.
Wow...I thought that Ostetag could get at least Doleac type of money from someone. Maybe he WANTS to play for Kings? BTW, anyone got a link?
ostertag aint no divac, he cant pass or anything, kings losing in this one, they havent gotten any better, just a lil worse doesnt make that much difference, but im just saying...they havent gotten better.
Another chance to fortify our lineups has passed us by. I have no idea what the hell CD is thinking now. I check the board on daily basis hoping for some trades to materialize. Sign Mike James already!!! I am Mike James, *****! Enjoy yourself.
wtf? why didnt we prusue him. Are we not gonna get a backup C? or what. He went for the minimum. Damn CD what are u doing, hopefully u already got something in the works.
Tag is from Texas. How adverse could he have been about coming to Houston? I'm sure if we really wanted him, we could have made something happen. In fairness, he probably took the only starting job on a contender, so he must want to play as much as he can. I respect that, but I still don't understand why Houston couldn't have used him. A Yao back up, but also, I would have been interested in seeing a front-court combo of the two. Call me crazy, but Yao was at his best with a big iron-man by his side.
Every think that possibly that Rockets didn't want him. He's not exactly a JVG type player (he's as soft as wet donuts). Also consider this, perhaps Ostertag wanted to go to Sac (he IS an unresticted free agent) knowing that he would have an opportunity for decent playing time with Divac gone.
