They all need to go. Nobody outside of Sengun improved and he really only got a chance because of injuries Nobody around the league would take KPJ for free but our staff and gm somehow thought it was a good idea to make a selfish ball hog quitter the focal point of the offense. Just a losing culture
I guess Tari improved also. KJM is also kind of improved. Both Tari and KJM were members of Goon squad and they do very well with Sengun. Should not be coincidence.
That's a good point. Tari has definitely been playing a lot better with the offense running through Sengun. KJ wanted out and now he wants to stay. I like how he gets to the basket. Sengun in the high post really elevates his best skill set. The offense really flows through Sengun because he is a high IG unselfish player. He's not trying to pad his stats. As I have mentioned I hope KPJ never puts a Rockets jersey on again. I know it's wishful thinking but at least keep him out for the rest of the year. It would be awful if he came back and Silas took the ball out of Sengun's hands
KJM knows how to cut and Tari learning fast. I was surprised Jabari's lack of awareness in this subject. As a son of former NBA&BJK player, it should be in his genes. Hope he becomes better cutter soon. Josh Christopher's recent higlight was the dunk after Sengun's assist. The more they play with Sengun, the more they will improve and score.
What about Josh's own thoughts on himself? He is happy to be one of substitute/ordinary NBA player. He should target more first.
No question and agree on Jabari. I have been pretty disappointed with his development and hopefully that's just a product of our terrible coaching. Remains to be seen though. Sengun can get everyone easy looks but they have to knock down the shots. If they pack the paint the jumpers have to fall to open things up. JC had a lot of natural talent. Hopefully he gets more minutes with Alpi and we can see what we have
That's not really fair. Alpi is our lone bright spot in an awful season. His fans are also very respectful and know the game. It's not like the 6 KPJ fans who are completely clueless. Nothing wrong with rooting for our best player. He's extremely likable too. Just a good guy on and off the court
True. I particularly enjoyed watching him go off for 40+ twice in recent games. Apart from Alpi, there's really no one worth watching.
Sengun played 72 games last year. Guess how many games he fouled out? 2. If you didn’t foul out then by definition you could have played more. Silas has not only been biased against Sengun, he has tried to pigeonhole Sengun in a role that marginalizes him. It is clear for anyone to see, and has nothing to do with race (pls get that outta here). It’s because Silas runs a guard oriented system and he is watching out for his own ass. If Sengun succeeds then we will bring on a big man coach in Silas’s place like David Adelman or Fernandez from the Kings.
I'm so disappointed in Jalen's development. I still love his upside but he looks like he doesn't care at all. I've been one of his biggest supporters and I know this tanking is awful as well as our coaching staff and but I hope he finishes the season strong.
Seeing how Harden operates with Embiid can plainly explain why people want a point guard OTHER than KPJ. 13 assists and 0 turnovers against their biggest rivals. Imagine Sengun in the post with a pg like that, he would be unstoppable in a couple of years.
To his defense, JG knows we are tanking and I can see how that would be demotivating. You can see that in a lot of young players, once the team starts winning they suddenly become more consistent and WAY better defensively. I hope the same happens with Green because right now I don't blame him for not giving 100% every game when your team and your coach are doing things to (intentionally) lose games.
