Stop it. His game this season against Rutgers, Maryland, Northwestern, Michigan and Notre Dame were all bad to below average. And that’s just this season. He beat up on terrible teams.
I'm no expert (just a rabid fan) but I wanted Mahomes like no QB I've ever wanted! If you really paid attention you could see he put an otherwise sorry Texas Tech roster on his back time after time. Mobile and a gamer that was usually very accurate (even on the run) with a cannon for an arm! I liked Deshaun but wasn't sure if his game would translate or not. Go back and look at even DW's best college highlights. He was throwing to a wide open Mike Williams a lot and a good bit of his passes were slightly off target so I wasn't sure how his accuracy would be once he got to the NFL. I was so happy when he broke out with us but I couldn't be sure from his tape like with Mahomes. And I'm sorry but the most ridiculous thing I think I've heard is where some posters are trying to claim that Mahomes wouldn't be great here or anywhere else without Andy Reid, or even better if he hadn't sat 1 year and learned behind the great behind Alex Smith! L--O--L!!! Probably the same people that say Sauce Gardner would just be an average cb on the Texans or that if you switch Paolo and Jabari then Paolo would be struggling here the same way Jabari is! riiiiiiiiight!
You haven't been paying attention. Many evaluators will have Stroud as the #1 QB by draft time. This is the scuttlebutt going around.
Only because of his size. He is no where near the QB Young is, and no where near the physical talent Levis is
I’ll take it at this point lol.. with all the Denver talk this couldn’t make me more happy. Hoping for the best.
This back and forth on who’s the top candidate means nothing to me. I just listen for who’s being interviewed for the second time. Those are the finalist.
LOL Norte Dame: 223 yards, 2 TDs/0INTs...70.6% completion%. Rutgers: 159 yards, 2 TDs/1INT....59.1% comp.% Maryland: 241 yards, 1TD/0INTs....60% comp.% Michigan: 349 yards, 2 TDs/2 INTs...64.6% comp.% NW: 76 yards, 0TDs/0INTs....38.5% compl.% The NW was horrible weather. Both teams had less that 300 yards of offense...score was 21-7. If that list is your Bad games........LOL. Will Levis: Vanderbilt: 109 yards passing, 0 TDs/1INT...47.8 comp.%. -16 yards rushing Tennessee: 98 yards passing, 0TDs/3 INTs...59.3 comp.% Those are bad games.
This is TOTALLY where I'm at on Stroud as a prospect. Per PFF Stroud had the BIGGEST DISPARITY of all qb's in CFL between qb rating with no pressure to qb rating with pressure! Admittedly this was before the Georgia game but when someone tells me a quarterback throws great from a clean pocket (with stacked roster) but totally falls apart whenever he receives pressure and the tape backs it up that gives me MAJOR PAUSE! Now it could be that all of a sudden the light just "switched on" and Stroud had a Josh Allen-like transformation the last game of his OSU career but I for one sure don't want to bet on it! Don't want him at #2! Really don't even want him at #12 because even then we'll be "married" to him for the next 3-4 years minimum. If we can't get Young and have to get a qb this year I'd much rather take a flyer on Richardson at #12 (or slight trade-down) and sit him for at least a year and hope he turns into a more accurate Lamar Jackson! If not we can always try and get off him like the niners and Trey Lance! But back on the thread topic...........COME HOME DeMECO!!!
But that's NOT ALL he said! He said that he thought that DeMeco WOULD CHOOSE Denver over us in the end! His semi-backtracking makes me feel better. Makes me feel as though maybe he's not as plugged in as some think. Or what would be even better is if he is plugged in and heard some discouraging news (from the Broncos perspective)!
