no, sengun should bring up the ball every single time... whenever someone else does this they just find another way for sengun not to initiate and touch the ball...they are so dumb, undisciplined and not caring...
We lost 13 in a row. It's hard to remember a game we won this season with Sengun as our top scorer. In other words, Jalen Green is our best player and he needs to be the #1 focal point on offense. Feeding Sengun doesn't win basketball games. Run the offense mainly through Jalen
I’m just hoping Boban cleared out KPJ’s locker since he has been hurt… can’t wait to see KPJ flip out on Boban and then to have Lionel Hollins stab KPJ with a broken beer bottle while Lucas looks for a rug to roll him up in.
Guys! KPJ is going to do what he wants to do. He is going to run the offense thru him, Silas is not going to confront him. KPJ is going to dribble for 15 seconds working on his new moves, while the other players watch.
What? We can run your offense thru Sengun and Jalen still can score 30 points a game. Nobody looking for Sengun to be the leading score on this team, that is not Sengun. Sengun might not be the 2nd leading scorer on this team, to make the offense efficient. Running the offense thru him, Sengun make easy passes under the basket, Sengun is always being double teamed, so Sengun pass the ball to the open man. Sengun help the other player to take easy shots, there is movement in the offense. Jalen is going to average 30 points per game soon, Sengun is a 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists a game guy.
That might partially solve the issue but he has to first accept that role. He also has a tendency to hold the ball. And if a player is used to playing a certain way it takes a while to fully accept then be accustomed to a new way of playing. He is a very good catch and shoot guy. The issue is he needs to find a balance between doing too much and just simplifying his offense.
The offense will go back to what it was when KPJ returns. Maybe not in 1 game but sooner or later it will revert.
He can be create your shot guy during non-clutch time rather than the clutch guy during clutch time. He is a terrible decision maker and even more so under pressure.
Yet he has a better assist to turnover ratio than Sengun.....last 2 games btw 14 Assists and 9 turnovers for SenHub...... Which BTW - I am fine with, just wish people would be consistent with their criticisms. DD
Sort of, I recall Hakeem getting hit in the eye by Bill Cartwright, before that injury Hakeem was SELFISH on offense he would try to beat triple teams more than pass it off to a teammate. The Rox won like 15 games in a row with Hakeem watching from the sidelines, he credits that run with him coming back a different player and allowing players like Elie, Horry, Kenny and such to take lake game shots - he came back realizing his teammates could play too and it made the Rox a championship team less than 18 months later. I am hoping KPJ is watching the team playing through SENGUN and has his own epiphany because a team with both is better than without. IMHO, the one blocking the progression is Eric Gordon - he is a selfish player, we need less of him and you will notice a significant difference... DD
Despite his initial selfishness, Akeem/Hakeem was a much more mature person than KPJ seems to be. I don't recall him pouting every time he missed a layup and forgetting to get back on D. But hey, we can hope for the best.
