Development is not binary. This franchise, this team, is in development. There is nuance to be sussed out here. The controllables. How we play, our hierarchy, our structure, our attitude, it's all important and it is all in play, regardless of wins and losses. I do think we agree on a major point, however. And that is that KPJ and Sengun could potentially be effective together, with the right system, with the right coach. If KPJ is sitting back watching these games, you have to hope that he sees how easy Sengun can make the game for him. Sengun is akin to having a dominant running back that you feed the ball to all game to loosen up the defense. KPJ ALSO has to see that there is room in the 4th quarter for a creative, talented guard to TAKE OVER...
I dont know what the problem here is... Yes Al P got TO´s but taking a bad shoot is also a kind of TO! If JG, KPJ or anyone other taking a bad shoot and you not hit. So its also losing the ball. So if Al P doing 2-3 TO´s a game and JG hitting 3 of 14 there are enough potential of bad decisions! If this Team make not more then 10 TO´s and moving the Ball so fast as possible and take shoots from good position i think its not impossible to win games. If the team starts to struggle good passing moments are over and most player starts the one man show! There are some players who are not selfish. The player are: Al P, Tari, KMJ and JC The Rest start to dribble the ball solo and shoot. Most times the team dont take any position to can rebound the ball. Its every game the same story! There is no Respect charakter in the team who can adjust this players! So thats why you need a PG who got the respect of the team who can organisate this on the court!
It's a shame that people like you still attack a player because of his ethnicity. What does "a country that is half in Europe and half in Asia" have to do with the subject? There are not only Turks here. Many Americans and people of other nationalities also defend and admire Sengun. When a German comments positively on Sengun, you say you killed 10 million Jews in the past? After all, is it a crime to defend Sengun from "a country that is half in Europe and half in Asia"? Also, if you're wondering, I live in Italy and I don't defend Sengun from "a country that is half in Europe and half in Asia". You are living in a country with no history, where people from more than one nationality came together and founded and it seems very funny that you are obsessed with a player because of his ethnic origin. I saw you, you are the same age as my grandfather, but he is not as unemployed and useless as like as you. It's embarrassing for you. You talk about winning and losing, KPJ has been with this team for about 3 years and has been playing for an average of 32 minutes. What has the team won during this time? Sengun came last year and has just started playing properly in the last 5-10 games. In how many games has he taken more than 30 minutes to date? If you wanted to send KPJ today, which team would want to get him? If you wanted to trade Sengun today, he'll have lots of suitors. Opponent players, opponent coaches, all analysts always say Sengun is the Rockets' best player, but are we going to believe your worthless opinions? Yes, Sengun is the best of this team, but the team and the coach are so bad that even Sengun cannot carry this team. Learn to see it this way. Unless it's hard after this age, of course. Arrivederci!
Increased troll activity due to Sengun’s increased success. let me put it with the troll’s own words: kpj will need to find a role behind Sengun or he will be traded or be out of the league.
A role behind Sengun and be out of the league. OK. Be traded, not possible. No one will pay 20+M/year to KPJ.
He'll be out of the league in two years. It sucks we will have to watch him even that long. Hopefully he's out for the rest of this season
If the team builds around Sengun and he becomes "the Guy" a lot of players will need to be moved because they don't fit. Hierarchy is a weird thing, I think KPJ fits great, Green does too - both will need to accept it, and play much better D or be moved. You SOF are gonna make me start cheering for the Kurds..... DD
Sengun fits fine with KPJ when he plays his natural position as SG or SF. Sengun fits fine with Green when he learns to shoot 3’s consistently and quits playing hog ball. In the last game, Green had multiple opportunities to hit Sengun wide open on the pick and rolls and decided to hero it instead. I supported the KPJ experiment at PG in the off-season. I also think Green can be one of the best offensive players in the league. I’m not a SOF or KPJ or Green only fan. I think they are all potentially really good along with Jabari and Tari. The problem is coaching and putting players and systems in place to take advantage of their strengths and improve on their weaknesses. I don’t question that you are a loyal rocket fan and I see no evidence that you are a bigot like some posters are insinuating. I do think your assessment of players, their play, and potential has been bad for a while.
How do you know most of SOF labelled posters are not Kurdish? Being Turk is a constitutional right, being Kurd is ethnicity. You can be WASP American, Italian American, still Ameican. Kurds, half Kurds or whoever is citizen of Turkey granted to be called Turk. I am a Sabir Turk (Siberian Turk) but only have equal rights with Kurdish Turkish or Jewish Turkish citizens? And also you won't be the first or last person in the US to cheer for Kurds. I remind you a Turkish say: Caravan doesn't park Because the dogs bark".
Rockets record in games where Sengun has played 30+ minutes: 4-13 It's not exactly like he's leading the team to victory when he gets more playing time.
Hell of a better winning percentage than when KPJ has played more than 30 minutes. It really doesn’t matter either way. They both are Rockets and both have great potential when we finally have a coach and FO that will put our young players in a position to improve and ultimately win. I was all on board on extending KPJ and continuing to let him try it out at PG this year, but the eye test says that the offense should be running through Sengun and KPJ should be playing a different role to prepare him for the years to come at a more appropriate position to his skill level.
Negligible. The eye test isn't always accurate. 35.7% (10-28) for KPJ playing more than 30 minutes this year. 37.5% (3-8) for Alpi playing more than 30 minutes this year. And I agree, it doesn't really matter much on this particular team for a number of reasons (age, coaching, culture, etc). But when people in this thread are loudly proclaiming Sengun to be the savior of the franchise, somebody has to inject a bit of reality into the conversation.
consistent with all your life. You can’t support something for its own right. Everything is about trolling.
I do support Sengun, because he is part of the Rockets - have a sense of humor my guy....support the Rockets. All my life...huh....ok then..... DD
I have no idea what you're trying to say, apart from the needlessly passive-aggressive "wow." I was responding to someone insinuating that the team won more games when Alpi played more than 30 minutes, compared to KPJ's similar minutes.
