The standard architect client contract includes Construction Administration and acting as the client's agent during construction. That means that the architect certifies the work the contractor does for payment. In addition to being available to answer questions about design.

 

Ok, thanks. I was at the PM level (IT) in every construction project I've been part of, I was thinking that the construction PM would equate to the producer on a movie set. The architects weren't there regularly from what I saw, but I wasn't there for every single meeting.

 

I'm talking about the standard AIA contract but there are certainly projects with different contract structures where the architect plays a much smaller role.

As bad as it sound I kind of think he may have done it on purpose just to see if he can get away with it.

 

Strange the DA seems to be going after him primarily as the person who shot the gun instead of as the producer who ignored safety warnings etc.

In a probable cause statement prosecutors filed with the court Tuesday, an investigator working for the prosecution claimed that Baldwin failed to address "multiple significant safety violations" on the set and noted that training in basic firearms safety rules was made available to Baldwin.

"The evidence clearly indicates that Baldwin recklessly ignored these rules, on multiple occasions, resulting in the fatal shooting," the statement said.

"Rust" assistant director David Halls has signed a plea agreement for a charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon, the district attorney's office announced earlier this month. Halls is expected to serve a suspended sentence and six months of probation. The plea agreement won't be released until it's approved by a judge, the district attorney's office said Tuesday.

Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed are expected to each be issued a summons now that charges have been filed, the district attorney's office said. They'll then be given a date for their initial court appearance, which can be done virtually.

When the charges were announced, CBS News legal contributor Jessica Levinson, a professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, said it was possible the case may not go to a jury. "At every step along the way … if there is a plea deal on the table, Alec Baldwin can consider a plea deal," she said.

 

Seems like a very weak case to me

I may not know all the details, but I doubt a jury would convict Baldwin. Hard to prove this was anything more than a tragic accident in his part.

 

This movie is going to be awesome!

 

The strongest argument that I can see for the prosecution is that he wasn't following basic gun safety by having his finger on the trigger and that according to experts the gun could only fire when the trigger was pulled.

 

Innocent.

Ignoring your kids while they grow up then passive aggressively trying to mend fences while blaming them for your lack of relationship, while intoxicated, is a Boomer's gotdang American right that their parents fought for.
