    Someone you voted for gave $2 bond to a dude who beat up a woman
    He paid the $2 then went to beat up the same woman
    But I’m assuming he did eat something like burger before because he saved so much money on bond

    Not sure why @bobrek or myself are being mentioned but it sounds like the Judge messed up here and didn't consider more factors.

    Also haven't seen @bobrek posting recently.

    We can have nuance. You can have low bail for non-violent offenses and high bail for anything violent. The Texas Legislature can also start the process of amending the Texas Constitutional right to bail to make it a minimum number or percent for violent offenses. Someone can try to start impeachment proceedings on that specific judge, Josh Hill, who won reelection 52% to 48%. No one challenged him in the primaries. $140k per year - any lawyer want to campaign for that job? Will anyone remember him in 2026? I hope so.

    Good suggestions especially regarding running for judgships. There are so many elected positions where people don't run against the incumbent which is why we get things like career politician and politicians less responsive to their electorate.
