There is going to be a limited opportunity to get a PG in free agency. If the Rockets don't think there is a legit opportunity to get one. I would swap Gordon for Conley and include the MIL pick. Push the money back one year. We probably need to show improvement before we attract free agents, anyway. We would definitely be improved next year with Conley. And Ainge loves picks. He'd probably do that.

I don't know about the Vanderbilt for Tate part.

Bucks could really benefit from a Gordon, but do we need four 2nd round picks I don't know; maybe a fallback deal if no one else step in.

We gave them PJ and they won a trophy; now they want Gordon. HOU rockets helping Giannis on the margin to win another championship. *depressed sigh*

The vultures picking away at the dead carcass that is 2018 Rockets team.

Honestly no point in keeping Gordon. Trade him for the best offer we get.

Once he’s traded we can finally start DEVELOPING the sf position

Dude IDGAF if that is the best deal just do it. Ego deserves that and we can't just keep him to have him, he's not even a good vet presence.

I want EGo to be moved to a good situation, but FVCK the bucks. I can't stand making that team better. I hope they don't take that offer.

Rockets In : Cam Johnson Sf, Cam Payne Pg , Greyson Allen SF , and Darko Saric. 1st rd pick via Suns, 2rd pick via Bucks

    Bucks in
: Jae Crowder, Garuba , Garrison Mathews and Cash via Houston.

Suns In : Kevin Porter, Eric Gordon, Kenyon Martin, and Jordan Nwora.

This shakes up a lot and fills needs of all teams.

Could we swing a EG and prospect for John Collins deal? They want off that contract, but they want to get something for him. He’s a classic rehab project; he’s actually worth that contract if he can get back to form. EG is an expiring, and we include someone like KJ; maybe even a 2nd rounder.

We are unlikely to spend the $25 mil Collins makes on a better player in free agency. If you look at the available free agents and the number of teams with money, we won’t do better.

he was averaging 20/10 on 40% from 3 just a few years ago. He’s only 25.

It would depend on the prospect and the reason why Collins has fallen off.

i hear you. I haven’t heard anything negative about his work ethic or him as a teammate, but certainly he’s underachieved the last 2 years relative to his talent…which I think is extremely high. He may just need a change. I’d like to see him get better defensively, but he’s definitely not Christian Wood.

Lets stop with the 'Oh, we should have taken previous offers of a 1st'.
Unless you know the details like the protections, those offers could have been close to worthless.

As far as the current Bucks offer of 4 2nds (in the 50-60 range), if we had to settle for seconds, which we don't, I would rather have 2 in the 35-40 range.

As far as the Rockets brass goes, it seems they are more than willing to keep Gordon rather than take less than they want. Which tells me that whatever plan B is, they are happier with it than 2nd rounders.

I think the math on 4 seconds probably works out better value than a single first, but you have to trade some of those picks because it's likely impossible to roster all 4 seconds depending on when they are

    It’s now time to go back to Brooklyn. EGo/BM - Simmons + whatever1 & 2 they have.

Lots less pressure on Simmons here + he can play 1, 3, 4, 5. Set up O from anywhere, play serious D, and fit in with Wemby or Scoot, if one o’them makes it to TheToyShop.

What about a trade with Atlanta?

    Houston received John Collins

Atlanta received Martin and Gordon and two 2 1st round picks

    Sengun- C
    Collins-PF
    Smith- SF
    Green- SG
    KPJ- PG

Collins is a solid veteran, would help Sengun defensively and teach him how to play defense. He can block shots, easy alley hoops and can shoot the 3s. However if we get Wembanyama in the draft that would be a waste….

We should wait until the draft lottery imo. If we get Wemby, what are gonna do with Sengun, Wemby, Collins, and Sengun all in the front court?

Make sense to me, I would give them Martin, Gordon and 2 First rounders for Simmons. If we get Wemby he could play a pass first point guard, if we get Scooter we would be perfect at PF next to Sengun. We do not need all of those picks we need real players. He has a high IQ, athletic and a great defender. We do not need a shooting PG.

Please stop. Giving me false hope that we’ll right our wrong of drafting JC over QG :(
