    It was pretty cool.

My daughter insisted we had to go to it, so I went. Our team unfortunately lost 58-59 or something like that. The shooting guard on our team tried to play hero ball to hit the game winner, but got blocked.

The other team looked a lot stronger physically.

So basically just an older version of Rockets half time shows... Cool

    Still better than watching this:

    Or this:

    Definitely more successful than this:

or do you prefer current iteration? (soup throwing purchased separately)

Perhaps you even like this better:

Personally, I think Harden was pretty successful in comparison to most of the previous iterations. In fact, the only Rockets team iteration that certainly surpasses it since I've been a fan is anything involving this:

At least it sounded like you got a good game/team to watch. My daughter was a cheerleader so we'd go to the games to support her. It was torture for me watch. Like watching a JR HS band do covers of your favorite songs - just butchering them. Our team was so bad it was really hard to see what they were trying to achieve each play. I'd get so caught up sometimes watching the other team make some nice plays that I caught myself many times clapping for the play. Oops...

High school games are very exciting. I wanted to go to one of Tyrese Maxey high school games a few years back. I'll usually go if it's a top rivalry middle school or high school team. Got home last night from my daughters double overtime game that ended at 10pm. They're on a 8 game winning streak.

AAU season is around the corner that is going to be fun traveling to different cities. One of the Nike nationals team wants my daughter to join.

Should be thread worthy but I also went to a movie theatre for the first time last night too.

Sounds like you had a really good game. In a lot of high school sports there is such a disparity in talent between the teams that there aren't a lot of close games.

I went to a lot of games when I was in high school and going to a HISD schools they would have double and triple headers sometime at the same location so you could get a good bang for your buck. I also went to the state tournament a few times which was a really cool atmosphere too.

The kids from the other school all seemed a lot bigger and stronger and more muscular. Like four Kyle Korvers and one Jalen Green playing against 5 x Robert Williams. The other school was up 31-20 at halftime, then our team made a big run and it was really close and the lead went back and forth, was cool to watch. Our shooting guard, really skinny like Jalen Green, took the last shot, unfortunately got blocked. Actually, it wasn't the last shot, we fouled, they missed a free throw with 2 seconds on the clock. Desperation heave almost went in. I don't think my daughter's school has ever produced an NBA player or something. Even though I think Amen Thompson is from another private school in the area.

"I played my first basketball game" would be a much more fun thread.

I suck. I played pickup ball a few times on the outdoor courts at UH when I was a student there, but I couldn't hang with the kids who played there. I could barely even dunk back then, obviously not now.

I did play intramurals soccer on a good team at UH though. We made it to the semi-finals.
