Why not? We could throw Gaines, Baidane, Spanoulis, Wilks and everyone's favorite, Boki, out there and almost have a team. All we would need to do is just pick up some scrubs like Mouneke, like we did last year and we would have a team. Thoughts?
I agree. The Mavs even have two teams. I think some teams use the SL to find some gems. Is that due to the cost?
Are they not participating because they haven't had a valuable draft pick for the second year in a row? Guess it doesn't matter to play veterans in the summer unless there is something to prove.
My Thoughts : JVG probably knows what he can get out of Boki, Badiane (greatest power forward to play the game), Spanoulis (nothing probably), and Wilks. We just got Gaines and most summer league tournaments need to know ahead of time who will participate. We just got Gaines, so there was probably not enough time. For the most part, I don't think too many steals come out of summer leagues, but Mike James sure lit us up last year in the SPL.
I hope the Rockets know what they are doing. Why didn't we play in the summer league? It makes no sense.
