That post with the 'this is all guess, I can be completely wrong' was from May of '22. 9M later and it didn't go anywhere with an investigation that focused on the Court employees including signed affidavits that they didn't leak. What the investigation apparently didn't focus on is the Justices.

 

That is absolutely not the most likely leaker. A clerk beginning their career wouldn't be the likely leaker. That's career suicide.

It is hardly earth shattering that a reporting whose beat includes the Supreme Court would be social with clerk and invite them to their wedding.

There were previous leaks regarding this issue in the the Hobby Lobby case.

The justices never testified under oath.

The justices, unlike the clerks had little to lose by leaking. Their careers weren't going to suffer. They are lifetime appointees.

 

Given how this investigation was conducted we might never know who the leaker is.

 

Since we are pulling things out of our asses. Alito leaked it himself to lock down the votes.

TST Health, the new medical services arm of the nontheistic religious organization, will provide telehealth screenings and appointments to provide abortion pills to patients. These services will be provided free of charge as part of The Satanic Temple's "abortion ritual," though patients must still pay for the medications from a pharmacy, which typically cost around $90, according to the TST Health website.

The New Mexico facility will be operated by licensed medical staff and will make its services available to state residents who are at least 17 years old, up to 11 weeks pregnant and medically eligible for an abortion.

On june 24th 2022 America’s Supreme Court ruled, in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organisation, to let states set their own laws on abortion. Since then 14 have banned abortion completely, with exceptions for extreme circumstances. The consequences of overturning Roe v Wade are becoming clearer. A stark one is the sharp rise in permanent contraceptive procedures among both men, through vasectomies, and women, through tubal ligations.

What to make of these numbers? Those who had already been planning to undergo the procedure may have expedited their decisions. Some may have also feared a broader crackdown on other forms of contraception. Groups advocating the right to abortion have warned that bans from the moment of conception could be interpreted to include the morning-after pill and intrauterine devices.

That would suggest that permanent contraception, rather than a temporary method, is becoming more prevalent among young people. But that carries greater risks of so-called sterilisation regret. A global review of studies in 2005 found that women who had tubal ligations at 30 or younger were eight times more likely to undergo a reversal or an evaluation for in vitro fertilisation than those who had the procedure later in life. A more recent paper, in 2022, focusing on America, found that 13% of surveyed women who had their tubes tied at 30 or younger regretted their decision, compared with 7% of women who were over 30 at the time of the procedure. The decisions that Dobbs is forcing on young Americans may affect their lives in ways that were not widely anticipated

 

The right was hoping the curve young people from having premarital sex by controlling abortion and contraception but all they will succeed in doing is actually pushing people to get fixed.

I have long supported an increase in permanent (or semi-permanent as these procedures are sometimes reversible) contraception/sterilization. I am glad people are being responsible, though I think it would be great if there was a (perhaps non-profit funded) financial incentive for young people (say 15-18) to do so. Something on the order of $1,000 for a vasectomy and $7,000 for a tubal ligation (simply because the latter is apparently harder to reverse). People are going to have sex (if they can get it). If they don't want to get pregnant, this is the best method to avoid it.

 

Do know any 15-18 women? It sure seems like you do not.
