That song made me think of some songs that are somewhat similar in regards to not forgetting someone. Since this isn't a music thread, I will continue in Manny's music thread.
For the Apocalypse Now v Full Metal Jacket thread tie in. The Playboy Bunnies scene is epically surreal. Cynthia Wood, who plays the Playmate of the Year, was a real Playboy model. Spoiler Also the late great Bill Graham was the MC. Another Classic Beauty was supposed to be one of the other Playboy Bunnies. Linda Carter, she had even shot a fake centerfold that is the centerfold that Chef pins to the bulkhead of the PBR and kisses.
In a scene that was cut from the theatrical release of Apocalypse Now but included in the Redux version. French Actress Aurore Clement.
Sad news as an all time classic beauty has gone. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...Welch-dead-82-Actress-dies-brief-illness.html Raquel Welch dead at 82: Iconic actress and sex symbol who starred in One Million Years B.C passes away at home following 'brief illness' American actress and international sex symbol Raquel Welch has died at the age of 82 following a brief illness, according to a report from TMZ. Welch rose to international fame from her back-to-back roles in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C. in 1966. She had minimal speaking toles in One Million Years BC, but her deerskin bikini in the film cemented her as a sex symbol. From there, Welch went on to see much success as a movie star in the 1960s and 1970s, earning a Golden Globe for her role in The Three Musketeers in 1974.
Sad news. May she rest in peace. Raquel in The Three Musketeers, truly a classic beauty. The 1973 film is itself a classic. Directed by Richard Lester, with a screenplay by George MacDonald Fraser (known for his marvelous Flashman novels), she was given a chance to show off her acting chops and Raquel is terrific. Her love interest is Michael York and they play off each other very well. There have been many films based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, but in my opinion, this is easily the best. Besides Raquel and Mr. York, it stars the great Oliver Reed, Christopher Lee, Charlton Heston, Simon Ward, Faye Dunaway, and Geraldine Chaplin. It's filled with action, humor, and drama. Anyone who hasn't seen it, needs to!
