This is not a local dude who is afraid to lose his job. This is a dude who should be thinking about who is going to hire him in his next job. Also, the conspiracy of losing does not explain why they play Eric Gordon so much.
Gordon has been a 6th man pretty much his whole career. Why suddenly start him and play him starter minutes when you have a bunch of young kids playing behind him needing minutes?
Or maybe Silas is just sort of a P$ss who tries to pass the blame along instead of owning up to his decisions. Regardless of whose decision it was, what’s obvious is Silas has no backbone. He can’t stand up to Stone or he passes the buck to the FO in front of the players. Either way he’s got no spine and isn’t the man for the job. … But yeah makes sense that Stone would want to camp TyTy in the G-League and try to make Nix a free asset he could flip in the future so he could have a notch on his resume that he was a GM that found a guy for free and flipped him for a decent draft pick. GM’s live for those resume builders. Jonathan Feigan’s line about how “The Rockets view him as a lottery pick” was so obviously spoon fed BS from Stone it was hilarious at the time. Stones antics trying to play people for fools using media manipulation has worn thin. Two years in a row getting caught lying to Woj has destroyed whatever credibility he carried over from Morey.
You do realize that Nix is younger than Ty Ty right? Don't get me wrong, I prefer Ty, but you keep mentioning Nix as if he is an old vet; he's not, he's just not playing well.
Which GM would give any asset to get Nix? If that's what he is trying to do, he's even more deluded than thinking Gordon will yield a decent FRP.
He’s not just “not playing well”….he sucks at basketball and most of us on this board realized that a long long time ago. Played 30 minutes a few games ago and had 1 point. That’s only cool if you’re Ben Simmons and fill up the rest of the stat sheet (sorry, not counting turnovers Nix fans). Stone is throwing games and telling Silas who to play, so no longer mad at Silas, although a real coach makes his own decisions. Wall’s agent will get the word around the league about this clown show and we won’t be getting any Durants in the near future.
