Okay if we want to play this game, most hardcore Sengun fans are white people who hate black kids with fingernail polish and cornrows.

Yeah but did Sengun get to run an ad campaign with a designer label? Has Sengun showed up at Paris fashion week?

    I don’t think so

So I ask again, do you have a link to all of these GM's or are you just going by player rankings and do you have any that are recent during this year because you know rankings change and people can change their minds right?

So know I put down Green subconsciously? WTF?

I did not say any player was a higher asset what I am doing is calling BS on the fact that you know what GMs in the NBA are currently thinking.

Sengun might be the better asset because he will be much cheaper than Green and would probably fit into more teams instead of having to build around him. The fact that Green is the more expensive contract can drive down his asset value.

Green’s size and frame means he will never be a positive on defensive. However I did not anticipate the lack of desire on that end as well.

Green’s lack of advanced playmaking means he will never become a heliocentric offensive engine. You simply do not develop this at this age, it comes early and innate. I projected Green to be a high ppg efficient scorer, he could still become that, but players like that just don’t impact the offense like the true playmakers.

The combination of these two limits his upside, you can have one or the other and still be elite but not both. Elite playmaker but poor defender, fine.(Harden) Poor playmaker but elite defender, cool. (Kawhi) But if you are both, then it simply caps your contribution to winning. Nothing has changed and I said all this predraft.

Ok how about Green being really good for a stretch, that just means he was really good for a stretch and even with that stretch his overall numbers are trending down.

You really keep making my point for me.

Why is Green and Sengun's assist to turnover ratio near exactly the same?

Sengun can't be part of a heliocentric offense either then. Jokic by this stage of his career(sophomore) already had a significantly better assist to turnover ratio.

My point is how fickle these narratives are that 2 weeks can change them.

Maybe Sengun’s better play would result in wins if his other teammates could start playing with their head out of their asses, namely, Green. (Also shoutout to Jabari’s shooting)

It'll be a sad day if we ever get to the point where even the most delusional Jalen Green fan can no longer ignore reality.

So Green didn't need players to get their head out of their asses when he was playing well and leading wins against the Bucks, Sixers etc?

    Okay.

Also you can even ignore my assist to turnover ratio reply. We can go by a more accurate stat that determines playamking ability and that's ast%.

Are you telling me the difference between a potential heliocentric player and a one dimensional scorer is a 17% vs 19% ast rate?

Just out of curiosity, is anyone happy that we have both Green and Sengun? I am...

We have both on our team, so why make these little petty vs threads that are pointless

I'd be happy if Jalen Green was even a halfway decent player or if he came off the bench till he became a halfway decent player.

As is, I'm happy we have Sengun... just wish his fanbase didn't come with him.

The fact that they are exactly the same should really give you pause, but for some reason you think this is making Green look better?

I don't want you to play. I'm pointing how dumb your generalization was by making my own dumb generalization.

Jalen Green is one of the worst players on the team, Sengun is literally the best. Sengun would benefit a lot more from awful players like Green stepping up their game and at least being mediocre than Green would benefit from others stepping up their game.

Players can't make Green's shots for Green, players can't handle the ball for him, players can't play defense for him.

Green's struggles are because he sucks at basketball right now, not because of anyone else.

    Wut?

The claim by people defending Sengun is he is of the Jokic mold where we should build an efficient offense around. The praise of Sengun is his playmaking ability and being a offensive hub for smart efficient basketball. Btw I actually agree with the premise that we should have Sengun at least touch the ball in every possession he's on the court.

So I'm just curious how the next Jokic has a similar ast% to JR Smith/Jordan Clarkson incarnate.
