Do you think the roughly 50k per month are a "normal" rent for that house? If not, how do you explain it? Why would they set the rent so high if not to funnel money to the big guy?
Everyone does their best to pay the least tax possible. Examining and auditing peoples income tax returns falls under the purview of the Internal Revenue Service. Naturally, those who become career politicians (something you're willing to denounce?), have less information to weaponize then those who are heavily involved in the private sector for decades. The argument is disingenuous, I don't credit Biden or any other career politician with releasing their tax returns, largely all he's done is draw a federal government salary for the last 50 years. Someone who has engaged in the private sector more thoroughly will have a return that can be weaponized far easier. Seen Michael Bloombergs tax return yet?
So again those who exploit the most loopholes in taxes should get the least accountability? You're admitting yourself that these non-career politicians take the most advantage of the tax code. That seems rather disingenous that you're holding Biden and other career politicians to a higher standard even though they are being far more transparent. And yes Bloomberg should release his taxes if he plans on running again. I'm on record for saying anyone running for higher office should be required to release their taxes. It's not a right to be in higher office and if they want us to trust them with positions of great power the least we should expect is financial transparency.
Highly doubt Hunter was paying any rent. Who knows why he put that number, especially given he also said he owned the house. I think all it tells us is Hunter Biden can't fill out a rental application.
To add to my above post this again illustrates the problems that we face. We want accountability in our leaders but because of partisanship we're so willing to bend things because that might be seen as helping the other side. This is why having Trump's taxes was so important and frankly should've been available long before. It's also why I fully support an investigation of Biden over classified information. I didn't vote for Trump and strongly condem him. I voted for Biden, donated and campaigned for him. That doesn't mean BOTH shouldn't be held to high standards.
Pivot, pivot pivot. "Biden didn't pay taxes on it" "Yes he did" "Oh **** let me pivot. Did he charge too much?" I don't know Mr. CEO. Did he? Capitalism!!!.Amirite?
This is one I would agree. It's certainly a reasonable question to ask. It might be an innocent mistake in which case it should be able to be cleared up quickly in the investigation and/or by Biden coming forward to explain it.
They answer to the IRS, like we all do, that is the proper level of accountability. Like I said, I imagine the ultra rich tax returns are easier to weaponize compared to a career politicians. It’s not a level playing field from that perspective. Not everyone has the same business/career path and those who come from the private sector will be put at a disadvantage regarding the weaponization of tax returns. It makes complete sense why a Bloomburg or Trump would resist releasing his tax returns while a Sanders or Biden wouldn’t. They have far larger and more complicated returns susceptible to the finding of information that, even while legal will be used to smear them and, perhaps, in their vast returns some unconscious violations. I doubt people like Trump or Bloomberg really have much to do with their returns but they will face the political consequences of any mistakes. I don’t care about Presidents tax returns, that’s entrusted to the Internal Revenue Service. Why is that not good enough?
You seem to be most concerned about potential unfair political fallouts from releasing taxes by non-career politicians because they may have more complicated returns than career politicians. Using that logic, someone could demand less transparency from career politicians (hide all political donors, political afflictions, private speech deals, lobbyist connections, and so on) because there are more potential political fallouts than non-career politicians. At the end of the day, that logic comes down to not holding the POTUS to a high standard and not caring so much about transparency. That's a huge price to pay for any potential unfair ("attack") political fallouts. Side notes Bloomberg did share some details (was a Republican at the time) while he was mayor. While running for POTUS, he was under pressure to release his tax returns. He said, "we're releasing them. They'll be out in a couple of weeks. That's as fast as we can do it". I think most voters like to know if there are conflicts of interest with foreign powers or even something as simple as just large stock holdings in certain companies. Some may also judge the character of the person from tax returns - does the person cares about others (donation), or did they "cheat" on taxes? And so on. It's part of what used to be a default high standard for POTUS. What Bloomberg's tax return might tell us — if we get to see it (cnbc.com) When Bloomberg shared the redacted details of his 2012 finances, journalists found out he held money in accounts in Hong Kong, Paris, London and Bermuda, according to the Journal.
Speaking of wealthy people paying their shares and showing their returns. The IRS and our tax system are designed for the rich. When you are wealthy, you will have a team of CPAs that know the tax codes, loopholes, deductions inside out, and if they don’t do their jobs, you’ll fired them. If you libs in here want fairness for the middle class, how about abolish the IRS and have a new tax system? I quit my job and have been investing in real estate for a few years now, particularly multi-family. I pay zero taxes BTW.
It's just funny how right wingers are so obsessed with connecting phantom dots when in reality jared kushner literally just got paid 2 BILLION dollars as a pay off. The Saudis were literally bragging about having trump in the pocket. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...gs-Jared-Kushner-handed-U-S-intelligence.html I have no idea how you guys have the energy to talk to these brainwashed trumpers who make **** up to believe in their conspiracies. There's ZERO evidence hunter paid biden for rent. There's PLENTY of evidence thst jared got paid 2 billion dollars to open a fake hedge fund https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/05/jared-kushner-affinity-partners-saudi-arabia Yes but sure hunter biden and his make believe 50k a month! It's too funny. Trump literally was hosting golf tournaments from saudi execs while having the top secret docs and they claim hunter biden conspiracies. It's too funny.
Did he say thats where classified documents should be stored? Did he say he knew that's where the document was stored? Yeah, we know Biden is an out of touch Boomer, so what? This is not a good look for Biden, but I don't understand why you have such an issue with this particular point, he is pointing out the fact that document was in a locked location that people did not have a lot of access too.
Thats not what he was doing at all and shows how you have a real ax to dig with Biden. At the end of the day this is a nothing story and just shows you how many of the documents might be out there from previous administrations. Yeah, we do have a sense of what was in them because they were actually classified and that gives an idea of what was in there as opposed to them being top secret or other classifications. People make mistakes and their staffs make mistakes the real issue is what you do once you figure out you made a mistake, it's like democrats are pissed because this makes them look not perfect. What does resealing a box have to do with anything?
