TC was at the Clippers game and was behind the Rockets bench. Some of his observations: -Sengun pulled off his warm ups to go back in the game when Jabari was subbed in with 8 minutes left and the lead was disappearing. Silas waved him off and Sengun was visibly upset. -KJ Martin and Sengun were the most vocal leaders. They were constantly on Nix and to a lesser extend JGup for constantly blowing defensive assignments and passes. -Silas wasn't very involved, especially when their was bickering among the team when it was obvious the game was getting away.
Wow, I thought this was maybe an exaggeration, and then I checked the box score. How is this even justifiable? Any argument that was left to keep Silas is gone at this point. They need to cut ties from Silas to salvage anything positive from the rest of the season. There's losing because you're young and rebuilding, and there's losing because you're young and the coaching staff doesn't know how to teach or manage you, and this team is clearly the latter. It needs to happen soon.
Stephen Silas as Rockets head coach... 47-150 (23.9% winning percentage) For 197 games coached, this is the worst record of all time.
I wish we had Mike Brown from Sacramento King, the difference between Silas and Brown coaching is night and day.
I remember brown calling that TO to blast his player for a poor play and then the player immediate learns and makes the correct play soon after. That’s real development
Silas was also the lead assistant with the Bobcats who had the worst record ever in NBA history and still hold that record. His father was the head coach (R.I.P.).
Hire someone who can unlock Jalen and Jabari. We need to unlock our 19/20 yr old top picks from the last 2 years. This isn’t a radical strategy.
Yeah I’m all for letting Lucas finish out the season Silas just doesn’t have any fire and seems to be to soft
you are clueless..heroin addict mentality...ill juts take this one small dose tonight and tommorow ill be clean...it doesnt work that way...
Stone hasn't proven anything either. He's only fumbled assets (Allen, Wood, EG) and offered terrible extensions to terrible players (Oladipo). The only thing Stone has arguably done well is draft outside of the top 10. In that case, he should be demoted to a scout.
