I am going to be honest, I haven't really kept up with the group stages of the tourney. I am probably the biggest soccer fan there is but this tourney just doesn't have the feel of a major tournament, not at the same level as the World Cup or Euro Cup anyways. I guess the main reason is that most of the major teams don't have their top players. I am going to start watching though since it is the Qtr finals now. Here are my perdictions: Quarter Finals 17/07/2004 (I) Chiclayo 17h 22h Peru - x - Argentina: Argentina 3-1 17/07/2004 (III) Trujillo 19h45 00h45 Colombia - x - Costa Rica: Colombia 2-0 18/07/2004 (VI) Tacna 15h 20h Paraguay - x - Uruguay Uruguay 2-2, Uruguay will win on PK's 18/07/2004 (II) Piura 20:30h 01:30h Mexico - x - Brazil Brazil 3-2; sorry man, I gotta give it to the kings of soccer even though they don't have their true squad...Kaka is awesome. Semi-Finals Argentina vs Colombia: Argentina 2-1 Brazil vs Uruguay: Brazil 1-0 Finals Brazil vs Argentina: Tough choice here but a dream final, I am biased so I'll say Brazil 2-1 but this can go either way.

Mexico was just plain horrible. Did not execute like they did thei past 3 games. Oh well, maybe the world cup.

In general, I know that they don't have most of their top players, but I watch the Paraguay vs. Uraguay game and it was pretty good... I only caught part of Mexico vs. Brasil... Brasil will win it...
I thought I saw him in one of the group stage games but I was only flipping through so I may have mistaken him. I watched the Brazil - Mexico game but it lacked something...It just doesn't have that feel you know, the feel of a special tournament. I don't know, maybe I've just been spoiled by the Great EURO 2004 Tournament.
