Unfortunately, our offense didn’t look better once SAC adjusted and started double and tripling Jalen. I’d prefer to bring up TyTy and give KPJ a chance at SF. Bring Gordon off the bench. We might not win more, but it will get tyty the reps he needs and lets us see what KPJ can do off the ball.

Nice comeback. This is when I know you have nothing to say when you have to resort to stuff like that.

Rockets passes per game before these 2 games against the Kings - 280.6, ranked 17th…25th in potential assists

Rockets passes per game these last 2 games - 308…that would currently rank 2nd in the NBA for an entire season, and the potential assists generated in these past 2 games would rank 7th

Yep i agree, if kpj is willing to play off ball, i think we have a chance to b better.
We needed kpj scoring to relieve the pressure off Green in the second half.

Imagine the team was able to get 30 assists and 23 assists without kpj, i think we can pull it off

For folks btching about how we got blown out by the kings.

    A week before that
131-114 Jazz w/ head honcho kpj. The difference was smith impact wasn't even there.

I rather we get blown out and see improvement from our youngsters (green, smith, etc.) than kpj rendering folks useless and we still get blown out.

It's not that smith and green simply sucks as nba players as how kpj fans like to paint it, it's that they suck playing alongside kpj especially when he's the ball handler.

naw - we put up good tape and bad tape. Takes both to properly coach up. Green went into tank (KPJ) mode in the second half. Refer to first statement. Additionally - this was the first full game playing without a ball dominant PG and the rockets didn’t even bother using Daishen or TyTy. I would expect challenges in adjusting.

And to those discounting this Kings team - they are one of the best offenses in the league. Don’t sleep in them.

    KPJ stans are funny

Rockets getting blown out by the Kings mostly had to do with defense which is ass with or without KPJ

the 28th ranked defense going up against the highest scoring team in the NBA and 3rd ranked offense…yeah, recipe for an eventual beat down on the road

fact of the matter is, the Rockets did look better on offense, but they still lack shooting and playmakers so it will eventually become a struggle to put up points

more guys touch the ball and there is more movement overall since we don’t have the ball concentrated in the hands of a mediocre playmaker holding the rock like he’s Harden

Sengun’s quotes the other day were pretty damning, and so were the quotes from opposing players with regards to how we play led by KPJ

It’s cool man. If I’m being honest, I’m a diehard falcons fan, I’ve even gone to games at MBS. I guess we’re doing the same **** lol

That would be the normal thing to do. Playing without a guard and a back up guard is of course not sustainable but what we saw is very promising. We should have played Nix as well and see how it went since he was the pg on the roster. Instead Silas was trying to make eg into one. He seems to be obsessed to fill the pg position with non point guards.

Game was going fine until Green channeled his inner KPJ. He's just not there yet in terms of being able to ISO against an entire team. Silas should have yanked him but we all know Silas is missing a pair and a brain.

doesn't even have to yank green, just have to adjust and actually coach.

There is no such thing as a KPJ STAN - just a group of people who believe that KPJ makes the Rocket's better at the PG position. I would say those fans that agree are taking a longer view and are happy with his development, and that people who don't want him at PG or to move to the 6th man role are just impatient.

KPJ is a developing Combo/PG - a modern PG - and he is doing GREAT !

The Rockets are better with him starting at PG than not.

And when the Kings applied on ball pressure on our guards in the 2nd half - we don't have a competent dribble option outside of KPJ.....guess you guys should have learned a lesson, but I doubt it.

KPJ didn't play, but we still had an inept coach.

Doesn't mean we aren't better without KPJ, but to actually win, we need a better coach.

Delusional - he is not doing ‘great’. He is a bad influence. Plays too slow. Bogs down the offense. Plays incredibly lazy on defense.

his presence slows the growth of those around him.

it teaches bad habits to younger players.

you think he has turned the corner with his attitude and I’d counter with the rockets have covered all his behind the scenes outbursts up as they tried very hard to do last year but failed.

when Bari screamed to “get him out of here” a few games back - the person posting in twitter assumed it was aimed at Sengun. Nope - it was later clarified to be aimed at KPJ.

look - you’re a blind follower of the team you love and that’s great. You think the team is blessed with a greater intelligence and plan that will pay off in spades.

but what is really happening is a gm over invested in a reclamation project that reminds him of Harden and only cost him a second round pick. Any qualified GM would have let the project go or put it on red alert the moment we drafted Green. Unfortunately- Stone is not a qualified GM.

Bari was screaming that in a game? I missed this. Is there a clip?

Aww don’t get mad! Didn’t you enjoy the development last night with the other Junior GMs? Losing by 25 is not an issue as long as you do it then”right way” and KPJ isn’t involved!

The irony of the scapegoating is too delicious! Silver linings with KPJ bad. Silver linings without KPJ good! :D:D

    “we made more passes”
    “we looked like a team”

    We lost by 25!

In a different thread with green only in his second year. Man is already wanting to send him to the bench as a sixth man. What a hypocrite.

We can lose 25 w/ or without kpj. u acting like KPJ would have saved us against a top 10 offense. Last i checked we have the worst record with the head honcho.

If u watched the game u could see how better we looked as a team. Smith had a career night, sengun had one the game before, both unlikely to occur with KPJ at pg.
