Well said. Plus....What good does it do being negative about your player(s), coach, staff, etc in the public?
Great point. An asset-minded person is not going to tell everyone there's something wrong with the asset he's holding.
I think people vastly underestimate how difficult it is to develop 7 rookies, which is mostly intentional since I'm sure the Rockets tried to consolidate their picks. I'm glad TyTy is in the G League, but Christopher and Garuba should be too with the scant minutes they are getting and the production that is coming from it.
What is unpalatable is reading posters get all giddy about tanking and treating Stone like he's some kind of genius at work.
You missed the most important part of the post you quoted - It was in bold, hard to miss. Problem is, you don't win without premium talent and the simplest way to acquire it is to be bad and draft early. For those who think anything short of 1:1 being a disaster, that's not true at all .... we got good players at 2 & 3 in the past two drafts. They just need a minute or two to develop from teenager to NBA player. Patience. Again, We All Hate Losing!
Wow. Agents are chiming in now? Well, this is Stone's vision. And he has been dug in from day one. I hope this is just one agent's opinion.......for free agent and trade purposes.
Perhaps it's alpi's agent and they were nerfing alpi all the time to hurt him? That would explain a lot of things
If ur rebuild strategy rests on getting the #1 or #2 picks alone, it’s not a very good strategy. The odds of us getting Wemby or Scoot are not good. We should be making progress in other areas, like developing the other prospects we have. I don’t understand why we’ve essentially sat out the last two trade deadlines, or why we aren’t focused on getting our best prospects the most minutes, in a structured system that teaches them good habits and holds them accountable. Yes Stone has collected some talent through the draft, but has been pretty derelict in all of the other facets of the rebuild. That’s not good enough.
"Poor Victor. He did not work his ass off to be this kind of player to go to that ****ing franchise. City is amazing. I love Houston. That franchise sucks right now. How sad is it…it’d be like to be the best coder in the world and sign with some bullshit ****ing engineering company.” LOL So… We’re gonna send him to Charlotte? What the **** has Jordan done besides perpetually **** up? “But but but LaMelo!” We’re gonna send him to Detroit to get murdered who has had one winning season the past 15 years? “But but but Cade!” (San Antonio does have a good track record) We’re gonna send him to Orlando? Perpetually rebuilding since the Dwightmare a decade ago. “But but but Paolo!” (6-7-8) Washington? OKC? Toronto?
This season can't end fast enough. This team won't have any real direction until lottery night. Starting to seem like everything is riding on this pick.
