On JG of late: The best I can tell is that Green has been watching and learning from what Eric Gordon has been doing this season. Gordon's game has centered around preserving his body, half effort on D, and taking a lot of in-game shots like he's on the practice court alone. (What's odd is that ever since Gordon's "there's been no improvement" comment, I think Gordon has been at least semi-trying to integrate his play with his teammates. I don't think he's forcing up nearly as many early, random shots. But his effort on defense has still been Gordon-lite.) During this current losing streak, Green has embraced Gordon's tunnel vision, and he's had no burning desire to be physical on defense, and lots of drifting about. I also think all these iso minutes he's piled up have sapped the life out of his legs. The cumulative effect has killed his 3-point shot.
For some reason he misses a lot of midrange in FT area but baseline / wing he tends to hit those at a high rate but only takes 1-2 a game Just like Jabari he needs to eliminate taking wing 3s ..neither of them have ever shot them well
This team just flat out sucks at shooting the ball as a team and probably leads the NBA in missed layups and point blank shots. Your starters going 7-24 from 3 in this offense is just not going to cut it. (and we cant even blame Satan Porter Jr for this one). Worst shooting team in the NBA + most turnovers per game in the NBA + dead last ast/to ratio = BBQ Chicken for the rest of the league.
Missed the game loss, did we try hard and have fun? @Jontro Did we give the kids juice boxes and snacks after the game?
CP3 and Harden were never brothers, this project was going to end either way as CP3 was coming on too strong. Tilman's most generous contract was given to Chris Paul and it didn't work out, effectively turning Fertitta into a penny pincher. Not that he was generous beforehand. Peeps just forgot about that.
The third missing part of this equation of sucking is the % of threes the other team hits against us.
So what? if they won a title in 2017, and Harden didnt make the biggest mistake of his career, we would have good shot at titles.
We are 22nd at 3pt% for the opponent. Not great, but not as dismal as some other areas. https://www.espn.com/nba/stats/team...ffensive/sort/threePointFieldGoalPct/dir/desc
I'm amazed and how many of you actually think the Rockets could have been good this year. This team is so young most of them should be playing in college. They have talent it just takes a while to learn how to put it together in the NBA. This team will take a huge dose of patience.
Bro what was the point of this? I was just appreciating what you had and you just wanted to ....what? Ruin that?
No stamina, endurance or strength. They are not pro athletes yet. Not many Lukas out here bodying adult males as a teen
dude silas coached c wood for 2 full years and all that time he didnt make 1 single proper screen, not even once... with some coaches that weak bs wouldnt fly for more than 1 game.... and others would havecut it out in 2 timeouts...they stop you and correct your bad habits at the spot... if you cant do such a basic fundamental right, you need to be sat beside coach and watch the game from the bench until you decide you really want to play basketball and will do anything is asked of you..its not a rockets science.. this is how champions work!
Sengun got his triple double finally. Points were the last stat to get there because of course. Guy really is special but he's going to need to tiptoe around to avoid whistles. Refs call the dumbest **** on him. That or go full Karl Malone and just start hurting people purposefully.
