Agreed why would anybody at this point want to coach this unstable franchise.

I’m actually fine with Demeco not wanting the job, I think it saves us. No more defensive minded coaches. It’s the offensive minded ones having success in the league. Even the greatest coach of all time has a losing record if he doesn’t have Brady. Offense requires much more innovation and changing with the times. Defense can be taken care of with good players and a good coordinator. Offense needs more.

Good coaches can work with and around roster deficiencies. Working for Cal and the current front office is the breaking point IMO.

They traded high draft picks for the next two years for a washed up qb. Then they signed Wilson to a 5 year/$245 million contract.

Texans have a ton of picks, cap space and could potentially still draft a franchise qb.

Texans are currently the worst team but Broncos are in the worst position moving forward.

That only works if there IS a process. The only "process" I can see here is that Caserio faces no consequences for his screw-ups while everyone else does.

Cal is stupid but he doesn’t meddle with coach or gm decisions. He’s completely hands off as an owner.

So Caserio just gives up control of the draft?

You do realize the Bills has a defensive HC.

I’d venture you’re going to get that with most owners. Not all but probably a decent majority.

But Cal has proven to be a really really bad decision maker. Moreover, he has proven he’ll cut ties rather than seeing things through. Not good traits for an employer.

If Demeco isn’t interested then Ben Johnson should be the guy. What he’s done in Detroit has been masterful. He has also gotten to see first hand what it takes to turn things around. Some of his play calls last night were masterful to help spoil the Packers playoff chances.

This. Goff just had a 29/7 season under Ben as OC. One point he was looking like a bust now he’s resurrected his career.

Demeco or the Olympian, those are the only 2 I want. We will probably end up with like choice no. 30

Add Mr. Flores to that but I think that ship has sailed.

Dream team would be teaming up Ryans at HC with Kingsbury at OC.

I’d even be ok with that combo signing Derek Carr and going all Defense in the draft this year.

I wonder how optics would look if we hire McCown and he gets an even worse result next year yet he doesn't get fired his first year for incompetence.
