Carr is getting cut in February, trading for him would mean having to give up draft compensation and then pay him 40 mil next season. No one is doing that
If Young is gone at 2, take Will Anderson. Don't waste your time on Stroud or Levis. Punt to 2024 draft.
Hard to blame the coaches or players, they aren’t going to lose on purpose. It’s a comically terrible win though.
A part of me wants someone to trade up and take Young and Young becomes what Doug Flutie would have been in this era. Vs a terrible team that sat out most of its best Defensive players. This is like pounding your chest over scoring on the Dolphins 3rd stringers.
I was going to say. I’m used to seeing the Texans be the Colts in these types of games. Up by 7 wit 2 minutes to go. Hold them to 4th and 12, then 4th and 20, then giving up a 2pt conversion is honestly the most Texans type of loss ever *see 24-0*. But being on the winning side of it when you needed to lose is just a giant middle finger to my face.
It’s all management. Always has been. The franchise is directionless, inept, incompetent. What we saw today was just more proof that any success they’ve had they’ve fallen ass-backward into. They Texans are a perfect example of why ownership matters. You can’t have a muppet at the very top and expect to be relevant year in and year out.
Texans have now officially taken up the Lions mantle. Congratulations, Texan fans! We are now the paper bag fans of the NFL.
*at the podium* after those idiotic play to win comments when after game one it was “a tie is better than a loss”
The top QBs in the league were never picked #1. If Chicago wants to trade the pick back, let them know if Young is off the board at #2 you intend to pick Will Anderson.
