And did they recommend GC supplements to keep inflammation down so you don't develop osteoarthritis? Did they even tell you that the repeated inflammation will likely lead to osteoarthritis?
Hey...watch that tone! I told you I went to see a sports medicine physician....or at least that was what was painted on the side of the van. To answer your question...no and no. I was pretty much told to deal with the pain and adios. Typical treatment from a doctor. This was about five or so years ago and I've done nothing since to treat my knee. It doesn't really bother me much more, but I haven't tried getting back in shape again. I know it will become an issue at some point in the future and I'm afraid that I'll need to seek medical assistance again. I will check into some of the supplements that you referred to Manny. If I can keep my health up by taking some supplements, then I'm all for that. Thanks!!
Boo hoo. What a sissy. I have had knee problems since mid high school and now have full blown arthritis in both. i'll tell you about knee pain. Wimp. In all seriousness, sorry for you. No telling what it is and going to doctors doesn't always help. It took 9 years for someone to finally give me an MRI (I don't think they believed that I was really having problems) and find out about the arthritis. Then al they said was to take Aleve. Great, thanks. I wish it had been tendon-related, though, so i hope that is the case for you. That can be improved.
The tone was not directed at you, but your doctor! (although the reference to Miss Information had me wondering.... ) Everytime you have swelling, you have a release of free radicals with physically damage your joint. Repeated damage = osteoarthritis. It's really simple yet they don't explain this, and they don't tell you how the supplements can help your body can avoid it. Check'm out. They really work.
the new treatment is medical grade chicken soup jelly that is injected into the knee every six months. this pain relief treatment works by mostly acting as a lubricant. its made from natural materials and is non-toxic.
Might be a patella tracking problem. Pain walking down stairs is one of the symptoms. You should try putting petersen step-ups and barbell hack squats on your leg days. This would help fix a muscle imbalance that might be creating the problem. I'd also lay off the running and do low-impact stuff like swimming or the elliptical.
