Here's what you said: "You made a specific claim that Giddey is a more efficient scorer than Green." Specific claim. Not "implied". Specific. Wouldn't you agree that, at best, you're being intellectually dishonest?
No I'm not being intellectually dishonest. You are. When someone brings up that player a has a better fg% than player be they are making a claim about scoring efficiency.
You really have no integrity, do you? You don't think it's intellectually dishonest to put words in other people's mouths? Absolutely pathetic.
Let me ask you this way. What was your point in bringing up that Giddey has a better fg%? What was the intent?
I brought up Giddey's better fg%, along with his significantly better rebounding and better assists numbers to demonstrate areas of his game that are superior to Jalen Green's.
Well yea, but u are faulting Green for not having a better season than a playmaker b/c he isn't one to begin with? The fact that jalen improved his assist numbers when he's isn't the playmaker when Giddey's main job as the assist man went down speaks volume. He upped his scoring as a scorer which is a good thing to see. I never said that the system doesn't allow guards to get rebounds, it doesn't emphasize guards to get it as much as centers. He has 4.3 rebounds which he also improved from last year which isn't bad.
No. You literally are so stupid you brought an example diametrically opposed to your initial claim. A player with much lower volume has a slightly higher ts% than a player on significantly higher volume. Obviously no one is going to say that Claxton is a more efficient better scorer than Curry. And that analogy you used to exemplify your point is being compared to a situation where the player with the higher ts% has much higher volume lol. Like you don't see your stupidity here?
When the question is, "is player X outperforming player Y", you consider everything, regardless of that player's effectiveness in that category. You shouldn't cherry-pick which stats to use.
You literally said Jalen has better TS% than Giddey therefore he's a more efficient scorer. Do you even read what you post?
I think Giddey is outperforming Jalen Green this season. I brought up fg%, along with rebounds and assists, because those are areas of Giddey's game that are superior to Jalen Green's. Does that answer your question?
U are putting more weight to rebound, assist to push your arguement of having a better season while ignoring ppg. That's literally cherry picking Green has higher free throw percentage, less turnovers, more points, less fouls, etc. etc.
Yes. He has a higher ts% than Giddey making him a more efficient scorer. Your example to counter brought up a player with a slightly higher ts% than Curry but on SIGNIFICANTLY lower volume. Obviously the player who has a slightly lower ts% but on significantly higher volume is the better scorer. But our situation here is that the player with the higher ts% has the higher volume so there isn't any room for argument. You literally brought an example that harms your premise and are too stupid to understand why or you are trolling.
Should we include defense? Would that appease you? Tell me, how is Jalen Green doing on defense this year?
No it doesn't. Because when someone brings up a stat to show one player is better, it's because they are better at SOMETHING. So again, when you bring up Giddey's higher fg% what are you saying he's better at than Green in? So why are you bringing up fg% and not the more relevant stat that any modern NBA analyst is going to use over fg%( ts%) ?
No one and I mean no one can make claims about sophomore player defense besides Mobley which is obvious. You don't watch enough Thunder games to see them many mistakes he makes unlike with Green.
I know Giddey isn't a good defender. The stats bear it out. His RAPTOR rating on defense is -2.7. But Jalen Green's is -2.9. So while they're both bad, Jalen Green is worse. In other words, Giddey is a better defender. I was being facetious b/c the other guy was accusing me of cherry-picking b/c I looked at fg%, assists, and rebounds while he was only looking at ppg.
Jalen green has higher mins, higher ftm, fta, higher ft%, more ppg, less turnovers, less fouls But giddey is having a better season b/c higher fg%, rebound, assist. cherry picking. A guy is having a better season b/c he has higher rebounds and assist numbers.
