It's the Jimy Williams hangover effect.

Give it a few games to get out of the system.

Bagwell has got to be benched. Even if it doesn't help the team this year, it would at least shame him into retirement and allow Drayton to buy out his bloated contract.

Now 12 games behind STL and 5.5 behind SF for the wild card.

    whoopie.....WE SUCK!

    @#$^& *&#%^$&*@#!!!!

12 games back......even I am starting to doubt any chance for our stros to win the central now.

we are even way back for the wild card. BOOOOO.

This team is starting to piss me off. I can't stand it anymore.

I hope the team is happy. They get the management fired, and they are a sub .500 team. Way to go guys. Way to keep the fire in your hearts when you were favored to make it to the first WS in Franchise history. Congrats, I applaud.

Uprising exits stage left. A gun shot and then thump on the ground follows.

We don't have a "few games" to give.

I was there last night and it was just sad. I expected to not score any with the bases loaded as I'm sure most people in there did. I cannot believe Scraps let Ausmus hit. There was no reason not to bring in Lane or Lamb and then have Chavez catch the last 3 innings. It doesn't look like things are going to get any better. My friend even had some tickets today, but I declined because I don't want to go down there and just end up disappointed again.

The defense that the team puts on the field isn't bad enough for you???

    6-0 Game Over...again

This f-ing team...I'm so tired of this crap we call baseball. I don't care what you have to do anymore. Break this team apart and put it back together again. If it means trading people, trade em. If it means benching people, bench em. Our Triple-A club could do better than we are doing on offense anyway. We are playing like we have no pride or heart. This is the worst baseball I've ever seen the Astros play. I'm disgusted. The chemistry on offense is non-existent right now.

It's just a matter of pride, now. Screw the playoffs...we don't deserve to go.

Two months before football season. Plenty of time to expand my horizons in other areas. I'm pretty much through with baseball.

    Nice job Biggio...can't catch a slicing foul ball....and then 5 runs score...GREAT !!!!!

Our team has no energy, and no fire, and they are FAR below average defensivly.

    BOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

Game over, and season over. This team has no fire and doesn't want to win. Blow up the team. With the exceptions of Pettitte, Lidge, Berkman and Lane, every single player on the team is expendable and should be shopped around. The Astros are a team of proven losers, not proven winners like the moronic FOX announcers say.

This has been the most disastrous season this team has had in over a decade.

Biggio just singlehandedly lost us another game with that gaffe in leftfield.

There comes a time when you just have to accept that it's not going to happen. It would be foolish to stubbornly stay with this thing at the expense of our future. Beltran and Kent need to be dealt immediately. I would not oppose a trade of Wade Miller either - he's just too shaky. I personally would definitely explore trading Clemens and Pettite but I'm sure most here would disagree with me. I've felt since even before the season started that Pettite is vastly overrated - add that to his injury problems and I don't know if it's wise for a rebuilding team with a fixed budget to pay him $10mill/yr. Drayton would get death threats if he did it, but I think it'd be the smartest business decision.
