I haven't really read anything specific other than some of the victims had defensive wounds which tells me they would have been screaming and making lots of noise. The other kids could have been partying and out cold -- not hard to imagine college students crashed hard after a night out.
Saw another article that one of the surviving roommates heard lots of different noises/voices and even looked out of her bedroom door and saw him dressed in all black walk right by her and out the door. She then said she went to bed (4:30 am) and the first 911 call came in at 11:58am so multiple hours later. Crazy
Thanks. Looks like $4.99 a month for ad supported, which I don't mind. I like a lot of Discovery's stuff too.
dude couldn’t get a convict to fill out his research survey so he decided to become a convict for his research. Hot damn! That’s some dedication. Jail him but give him his PhD. Hang him in his graduation gown. He has earned it.
Yeah, he was arrogant, big downfall for sociopaths. One of his big other mistakes (as a Zoomer) is that he couldn’t live without his phone for a few days. Changing out his plates is a huge red flag. And using his own car was downright dumb. I play the ‘could I get away with robbing a bank’ game in my head from time to time and it’s getting harder and harder with DNA tracking and cameras everywhere. You would essentially need to be on foot for a long way in a rural area or via sewers. I’m guessing he’s thinking he can get off on technicalities now.
It was interesting that he walked right past the girl who survived. And she allegedly then locked her door. I can understand someone at that age either not knowing or understanding what might have just happened, or not being brave enough to investigate, but interesting information. You never quite know what someone was thinking or what someone will do in a situation like that, so it will be interesting to get more information about that.
I wonder if it was normal to have strangers (guests) in the house and that’s why other than the odd noise she didn’t think it was suspicious to call the police. The affidavit doesn’t explain the connection. Why the four? Why did the roommate that he walked past survive?
I read the Wikipedia article on this so I am kind of an expert on this. /s I don’t understand why the other 2 were spared. Why did she lock the door but not call 911? Or even call out to the friends? Waited till noon to say someone was unconscious? Didn’t see all the blood splatter?
Haha reminds me of the dude who robbed a bank then escaped on an inner tube. Best part was him hiring people on craigslist to all dress as construction workers and show up at bank -
Oh man, I thought I was the only one who played this game. Thank you for the validation. This is the plan I came up with years ago before there were cameras everywhere. Not sure it would still work or not. I would probably just wear a ski mask and a hoodie. The key is to do everything low key, not guns blazing and presidents masks like the movies. hide out by the door an hour before the bank opens (preferably a drive through that is separate from the main building) when the second person goes in (not the first), slip in the door behind him/her tell both employees you just want the cash in the vault and whatever is in the drive thru overnight deposit - be very nice and calm and tell them it will all be over in 5 minutes if they just do what you say - think Chevy Chase in Seems Like Old Times calmly walk to my car parked across the street drive north on a busy highway for a few miles park the car in a crowded parking lot where I have another car waiting for me drive south on the same busy highway in the new car
My understanding is banks employees are told to cooperate with bank robbers as it's better for the bank to lose some money but not get employees and/or customers killed. They then rely upon cameras, dye packs, silent alarms and etc.. to catch the criminal. For the women in the home with the other victims while it may seem cowardly for her to just lock her room rather than do something more I don't blame her. It takes a lot to be willing to fight back and not everyone has it in them to do so. Also given that the suspect had just killed four people if she fights she's likely dead also.
