I got bored... really bored... so I wandered into some ESPN, RealGM, and a few other random BBS's to see what they were like. Pathetic. I don't think you can truely appreciate this site until you really see whats out there. ESPN board had one thread bashing CF.net, calling us elitist and saying how they got banned for nothing. Right. Then another board consisted of one guy begging to be a moderator, and I guess eventually earning the status by contributing to the owner and advertising it on other boards. So Clutch, if I contribute say $100, can I be a moderator too?
yep .... although I've been here only a short while I've been on those "other" boards too. Nothing quite like clutchcity/clutchfans, friendly people (for the most part ) and good solid discussion in the GARm. also love the bbs hangout and political discussion, reading up on alot of the topics posted there and such this board is an education as well as a fan's dream board
I'm now a mod at another board, though only until they get more "local" help... But they have nothing but praise for this place. And to tell the truth... that board is d e a d.
Here is an old thread in the Sonics Forum, read what they call us? "The Holy Grail of fan websites"! LOL!
Are there any other fans sites on the net like Clutchfans.net? Just on new members....I think when you sign up to an established forum its very easy to feel like your not very welcome by the current established members. Thats only because this is a place to share opinions and no everyone is going to agree with your opinion. Established members dont care any more if people dont agree with them. But new members may feel like they are being given a must unfriendly welcome.
I want to visit the rocket guys website. i wonder if that site is banned**** www.therocketguy.com edit. guess it works.
Off subject, but everytime I see you post I get freaked thinking I was posting either a.) Under the influence, again b.) asleep c.) too far under the influence, if there is such a thing. Change your nic.
The best advice for newbies on this board is to simply use common sense. I registered in I want to say October of '99, and just watched how people here interacted. 'Course, at the time the board only had 300-400 members on it, but this has always been an active board. I then weened myself on to it. I just got off my first booting from the board, but I knew how to handle myself when I did err. Everyone here is reasonable and respectful if you treat them with respect as well. If you can't accept that, we probably don't want you anyway. Capiche? or, for Simpson folks.. Catfish?
I like the fact that people here are at least semi-literate, use capitalization correctly, and don't use a bunch of stupid, inane, idiotic abbreviations. (LMAO and IIRC are OK.)
rotflmao - titgttihrotbt. --- rolling on the floor laughing my ass off - that is the greatest thing that i have read on this board today.
This is definitely the BEST forum I've ever been on -- the community is pretty tightly-knit, very active, and has great discussions. I visit a lot of forums, and my 2nd favorite to this is <a href="http://www.genmay.com">Gen[M]ay</a>. It's definitely not for the mature though . . . and especially not good for those who don't like abbreviations OMG, Hi2u . . . *keekles*, and so on . . .
ahhh, Vengeance, et tu? The day I reply to an OMG, ROTFLMAO, *giggles*, is the day I shoot myself in the head. And I will take you with me.
Haha, Remember that one total moron who posted that pic of the back of his credit card and then everyone was buying **** with it.
Yes hahaha, that was great! Now that you mention it, thought I'd check out if it was vaulted, and sure enough: http://www.genmay.net/showthread.php?t=223333 Along with these classics: Fry's AIM: http://www.genmay.net/showthread.php?t=138943 Foiled: http://www.genmay.net/showthread.php?t=341438
