were not interested in judging silas....who cares if he can coach or not....

there's only 1 head coach position on the rosters in NBA, you have to be undeniably good and provide irreplaceable goods just to not get fired...

you shouldnt be asking what did he do to get fired, you should ask why shouldn't I fire him?

this is the question to ask of your HC and GM

what he brings to this franchise that i cant easily get from anyone else...?

if the answer is i don't know, or i am not sure, then fire him and find somebody that brings something to the table...

this is a business, not a charity organization where underperforming lazy people get their fair chance...

I look at the Texans and I see a roster with barely any talent, they lose because the players pretty much suck almost everywhere, it is hard for me to judge coaching when there is a lack of talent.

I look at the Rockets and I do not see sucky players. They are young and inexperienced sure, but there is talent on this roster, too much talent for them to play this poorly and lose this much. Double digit blown leads, poor schemes. Underachievement is on the coaching. Sorry Silas, you seem like a really great dude and I'm sorry for the loss of your father, but...

How can you have accountability on a G-League level team? If he benched Jalen and Jabari people would lose their minds. Sengun fans are already upset when Silas subs him out because of foul trouble. Silas haters are talking out of both sides of their mouths.

accountability as in when kpj turns the ball over and doesn't even cross halfcourt to get back on defense - happens every game. accountability as in when kpj turns the ball over or misses a defensive rotation or lets his man get by him with zero resistance and then blames his teammates. accountability = giving a **** and actually playing with effort, instead of moping over mistakes.

i don't see alperen, jabari, or jalen half-ass it after making mistakes. kpj doesn't give a **** about the team and only cares about himself.

seriously, kpj and you kpj fans are the scum of this earth.

He's just a talk show host. Not a journalist. He doesn't have sources.

I feel like anyone can come out and say "there are rumblings" of this and that--and if they're right, they've bullshitted their way to "insider" status and if not...who cares? For example, we can all infer from the recent interviews that EGo is unhappy, we can see that there are coaching problems and based on what we know of Tilman, he is not the most patient man. SEE, I KNOW SOMETHING TOO!

Watch Silas make it past the Feb 1st deadline and nobody say a thing.

He has been in the local media since the championship years I would think he does have sources in the building.

Granato has been around a long time, I remember him doing Astros post game shows in the late 90s.

I'd be very surprised if he didn't have any sources whatsoever. Not saying this is 100% but maybe he knows a guy who knows a guy

Not to mention Granado is friends with UH Football coach Dana Holgorsen who is basically Tillman's drinking buddy.

You don’t need to be an nba insider to know that Silas is highly likely to get fired in season. Even for a tanking team, you just can’t coach a team this poorly and expect to keep your job.

It would be one thing if they were losing but your top prospects were showing major improvement. Under Silas this season all of our prospects have actually looked worse as the season goes on. That alone should get a coach like Silas fired regardless of record.

being the HC of the Rockets is being setup for failure anyway. It's not like another coach would do any better with this roster. regardless of what folks want to tell themselves. A coach is always going to be as good as the roster that's infront of him. That's evident all across the league and the ways its always been. They'll still be one of the worst teams in the league. It's completely filled with unproven guys who could still be in college. Nobody on this team knows what it takes to win at this level. Their vet EG even at his best didn't even lead teams to wins. At his best he was a very good role player for better players around him. The rockets are still searching for that one player. The only thing going on right now is hopeful projections and often times premature labeling. Most of these guys won't even be on the rockets roster if they one day start even being a .500 team again.

I still remember CF's acting like Luke Walton was great bc he filled in for Kerr while he was out that he was some good coach for the future. What has Luke done since? Dude's now an assistant to guess who, JB who CF's also trashed but look at the Cavs now with JB at the helm. One of the top records not just in the East but league itself. Or Nurse when he had the season with Kawhi. What has he done since Kawhi has been gone? Struggled. Lakers hiring Ham as if he was going to take that trash Lakers roster anywhere was hilarious. They acted like firing Vogel was fixing anything. No it was always your sorry roster. Throw whatever coach in that seat and Lakers would still suck like they do now. The great Pop is currently right at the bottom with the rockets when CF's wanted to say oh the spurs are doing it right. They also had the worst loss in Pop's tenure this very year.

There's a reason why the saying of coaches don't get any credit when they win but get all the blame when they lose is still true. it's simply the scapegoat rule. A coach is always going to be as good as the roster that's in front of him will always remain true. A concept that a significant portion of wannabe coaches on cf's don't understand
