How we feeling about Kuzma? He's more than likely going to exercise his player option and test the FA in the offseason.... we could trade for him and come to a contract agreement which could help us consolidate our roster and sign a veteran role player.
Why not just trade directly with Suns? Mikal Bridges > Patrick Williams and is a perfect fit for this team.
Gordon+Christopher for Duncan Robinson, Jovic and an option to swap the 2024 Nets pick with the Heats pick.
Small trade that opens the rotation OKC Martin …For… Janlyn Williams out of Arkansas We are giving the more ready player in Martin. We don’t want to overpay Martin. We have locked in for years to come: Tate, Tari & Bari on the roster. Williams gives us a true PF/C that is a 2 way player on a very friendly contract over the next 3 season. Williams was a quiet beast in college and shut down the bigger names every time they matched up with him. His and Garuba roles would be similar but I think the two could play together. cashing in on Martin for a lesser (today) player in a area of need on contract that is friendly gives the opportunity to develop the higher level prospects. Williams is a great move if one of the other players goes down and to practice against.
MN beat Denver tonight -- Anthony Edwards was clutch toward the end -- he is their go-to guy in those situations and he handles it well. He finished with 29 pts. We keep losing. We need someone of Ant's caliber desperately.

3 way trade to upgrade from Eric Gordon to Mike Conley Houston receives Mike Conley Keeps Lower of Bucks/Suns 2023 1st round pick Utah receives Jae Crowder Landry Shamet Higher of 2023 Bucks/Suns pick Phoenix receives Eric Gordon Why Houston does it: Needs veteran PG to organize kids on the court. Basically a straight swap from Houston’s perspective. Suns pay the Jazz with their first. Why Utah does it: Late season tank to have a shot in the lottery. No interest in play in game tenth seed after trading 2 best players and prefers and additional first rounder this year. Why Phoenix does it: Need bench scoring veteran to make a run this year. Familiar with Chris Paul.
Crazy idea… can the Rockets sign Harden and trade KPJ plus a bunch of picks for KD? Does that math work? This is a dream scenario in which we get the #1 pick and keep our role guys in the trade for KD. This would be one of the most talented and one of the deepest rosters that KD or Harden have ever played with. Would they embrace the young guys or would they force the front office to trade for vets? Harden/Tate Green/JC KD/KJ/Tari Smith/Sengun Wemby/Bruno
I like Bridges too, but Williams has a smaller cap figure and is younger Bridges eats into our available cap space.
Ok with the Martin trade, but hell no to Duncan’s contract. There is no way the Rockets will take on that contract for a bottom of the first round pick.
Yea, crazy idea. Two guys that could break down any minute and put you in mediocre hell with no cap space.
Bridges is exactly the type of younger player we should be getting and using some cap space on, but very unlikely the Suns are trading him while on a good contract.
https://clutchpoints.com/nba-rumors-bucks-nearing-jae-crowder-trade-rockets-involved?amp=1 NBA insider Matt Moore of the Action Network has revealed that the Bucks nearly completed a deal for Crowder. The Houston Rockets, however, proved to be the roadblock that stood in the way of what would have been a coup for Milwaukee: “Milwaukee was reportedly close to a deal with the Phoenix Suns for Jae Crowder, but the third team in the deal, the Houston Rockets, wanted more draft compensation. League sources said they would not be surprised to see another iteration of the deal go through before the deadline,” Moore wrote. What would be some likely trades for this scenario? Bucks: Jae Crowder Suns: Eric Gordon Rockets: Dario Saric, Grayson Allen, 2023 2RP CLE or GS, 2023 1RP PHO
I don’t want younger. Need to fill out the rotation with good vets. Rockets would still have max space this summer with Bridges on the books so not too concerned about salary difference.
I think Utah will get a better offer for Conley if they want to move him. He is a starting quality pg and there are virtually none on the market.
Maybe Cam Johnson (since they’ll lose him to RFA this summer) and George Hill to go with some sort of 1st round pick?
