I literally told him that twice already. He knows. He just doesn't have anything of substance to argue, so he's going with an intentional misrepresentation instead.
Knowing his post history that is definitely what he wanted to imply. Remember this is the same person who thought that Green can in the long term be hopefully as good as Corey Brewer.
Well, maybe, but I don't think so. I just felt compelled to jump in because I use the same "exaggerated example to demonstrate a point" pretty often myself, and people online misinterpret it constantly.
Lol. This is gonna be my last reply, because I’ve obviously triggered you and while I enjoy your unearned and misplaced arrogance as much as the next guy for entertainment purposes, it eventually grates. Which is why I have had you on ignore since last year. I’m not here to argue my opinion on Jalen vs your opinion of LaMelo or whatever. I literally couldn’t care less what you think about either player, you’ve been proven to be wrong time and time again. It’s no sweat to me. My whole point, how this whole back and forth got started, was that you speak with certitude about things you have no idea of. You then mask your opinions as facts, when they aren’t, and then you insult people who have the temerity to disagree with your opinions that you sell as facts. It is extremely transparent and has been for years. Then you spent the rest of this thread proving me right, which I appreciate. Awfully decent of you. And now, I say goodbye to you, my ignored friend. I wish you a happy new year and a bountiful 2023. Go Rockets.
Well you tried. You never were capable of coming up with a cogent counter argument, though you did attempt to steal one from someone else. Due to that failure, your hand waiving is now at an end. I can't say I'll miss it.
Well I don't think you are as stupid as Bobby. So I'm not giving him any benefit of the doubt. He chose a parking as drastic as Mathews and Butler because he knows it's a m absurd analogy.
I think it's pretty clear to most that you are simply a fundamentally dishonest person, and that's why you are still intentionally misrepresenting what was said this long after you've been corrected. It's not a big deal, I didn't really consider you a good faith actor to begin with, I do appreciate you basically admitting it though. It saves any guesswork there might otherwise have been. ANYWAY, let's get back to the topic at hand, the difference between opinions based upon factually what is and opinions based on fantasies of what we hope could one day happen. I actually feel as though some of our younger CF's could benefit from this conversation since perhaps one day they'll be looking to get a mortgage. They'll need to know that the banker won't care how much money you think you might make one day, they'll only be interested in how much money you're making....and can prove you are making, currently. Fantasies about what might happen in the future, even if they happen to be accurate, are not typically something people feel they can act on when there's no factual basis to believe that WILL be the case.
As Rocket fans we can at least share similar mutual interests like the hope that one day Jalen Green will reach the level of Corey Brewer.
It's good to see that literally the only thing you have is dishonesty to respond with. It makes it much easier when people are so very predictable. Death, taxes, your shtick of ignoring the substance of a post and responding with something dishonest. The only things in life you can count on.
"your shtick of ignoring the substance of a post and responding with something dishonest." Rinse, repeat.
The new coach has given him free reign for sure. I have heard rumors that Houston has already shown interest. Let’s see where that goes. I wanted Lamelo since Harden was trying to force his way out of Houston and was hopeful Houston would acquire his draft rights
Why not go after Luka at this point? LaMelo is off the table for the Hornets. The city of Charlotte would riot if he's traded. It's literally the only thing those fans look forward to when following the Hornets.
Absolutely. But with Jordan as the GM we never know lol. Maybe he might see a little of himself in Green.
Melo is a special talent, but I think we're kind of taking for granted the potential that Green has. You can tell Green is special, especially while doing it with a coach that is simply not up to par and a very undisciplined team (Which coincides with the previous statement on the coach). I voted no, simply cause Green is special and losing him should not be an option now, even for a player the caliber of Melo. However, could you imagine Lavar Ball being our media hypeman? lol He'd definitely find his way on to our tv screens fighing the "good fight" for his son and our youngsters. Him and Clutch The Bear doing fun stuff at the games would be awesome.
As they should give him free reign especially since the Jordan regime has wiffed on many top lottery picks prior to landing Ball, which is why i feel they are the biggest threat to both Texas teams in getting that 1st overall pick in upcoming draft the NBA will have to decide which is better for their overall business portfolio, a Pop/Wemby vs. Smith/Green/Wemby vs. LaMelo/Wemby storyline (ie. bottomline / ratings - $$$), TBD I would only be heavily interested if LaMelo comes out publicly with a trade request and listed Rockets as one of his preferred destinations, pairing him with the young core would be good, especially if he can avoid the injury bug that has hovered over him in early career.
I don't think Green will ever be as good as LaMelo - one is a super skilled player already at 21, the other is an amazing athlete that needs work on his left hand, his dribbling and everything else... LaMelo IMHO is a budding SuperStar, Green is a budding all star, a level below. DD
