Screw all this First Amendment debate. Did we ever find out if Paul Pelosi is gay?

165 at Google! 115 at Facebook! 15 at Twitter!

0.1% of Google employees formally worked for the government.

Put another way, 0.001% of government workers (IC) decided to join Google.

Or put another way, 0.00006 % of government workers decided to join Google.

Man, the deep state has taken over our big tech industry!

This is great for branding. His team said it's temporary due to an internal review (aka as Musk saw something he doesn't like and as usual, uses the hammer instead of a surgical tool).

It made me wonder how many people here have ever worked for a large company in a position that saw this type of typical debate. I guess the answer is not many at all.

But I thought covid was not real. ?

    here's the real reason:

Dec 27 (Reuters) - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) shares fell 8% on Tuesday after a Reuters report that Tesla was planning to run a reduced production schedule in January at its Shanghai plant sparked worries of a drop in demand in the world's biggest car market.

@tinman what else is part of your diet other than elon's ...

GG's tweet is a strawman, as usual.

As for Musk, basically, the Trump and Biden admins were working closely with social media platforms to censor, done voluntarily. There is no evidence of undue pressure, but perhaps we can take a step back and think there is unspoken pressure - do as I said, or I would penalize you through future laws or regulations. Uncover that evidence and we got something. Until then, I see nothing significant.

That includes Trump demanding FCC to limit protection for social media firms. Trump EO in May 2020 tried to do that.

EDIT: BTW, internal and independent data shows both Twitter and Facebook were biased toward conservative contents. One thing that is actually lost on the Right.

To add, Musk is his own enemy. The dude tweets some of the stupidest stuff and then wants people to take him seriously. Outside of being extremely partisan and generally an a$$, just a few days ago, he confused the legislative branch with the executive branch.

maybe he is purposely tanking TSLA to get cheap options for his next compensation package...

    https://alexandramerz.substack.com/p/do-know-there-is-more-drama-ahead?

The following two topics will soon come to the forefront and keep us busy:
    • Elon’s next compensation package from Tesla, which is most certainly in the making and Ira Ehrenpreis, on Tesla’s Board of Directors since 2007 and Head of the Compensation Committee, has a crucial role here.

He's smart at certain things but nobody knows everything, BUT, some people try to comment and act like they're on expert on EVERYTHING. That's him, man. LOVES to talk about ANYTHING, like he knows.

Except, of course, that it's not. Most "critics" WANT government to be fighting foreign disinformation. They WANT government to notify people, companies, agencies, etc when there is a threat to them. Protecting its citizens is the most basic function of government. They WANT social media company to fight dangerous misinformation that's getting people killed. They DON'T want government forcing speech restrictions on private companies. The big story of the Twitter Files is that it confirmed that social media was trying to act responsibly as was the government. It was and is still is a big nothingburger.

You're the one that's wrapping yourself like a pretzel to justify Musk's nonsense. Going from arguing "we need free speech on social media!" to "if you don't like Elon deleting whatever info he doesn't like, just don't use Twitter!" The irony is that the very things you're complaining about are the things Musk supports wholeheartedly - he has openly said that he has no problem with government censorship.

I understand you. Im sure you still think the government was acting in its best interest in the illegal iraq war that killed a 1/4 million people. Still looking for those WMD's.

The non-partisans wants the government to provide the necessary tools to prevent fraud and abuse, not suppress 'misinformation'. Your nothingburger includes blatant partisan censorship, including the Biden laptop. Yes, I agree, the laptop in itself was a 'nothingburger'. The misinformation you speak of is the fraudulent bot armies that serve to disrupt, misinform and scam. Yes, this needs to be stopped and Twitter 1.0 did very little to stop it. The social media companies are not acting in the best interest of the people and they are not responsible.

I wouldn't be surprised if a bit of digital sleuthing revealed you accusing edward snowden of being a traitor and the government was acting responsible with their domestic spying platforms.

Its ok. You're an authoritarian who believes your party is doing the best interest of the people.
