He gets picked out by guards on perimeter … and most times he tries and drop because he can’t laterally keep up … vs someone like Garuba / Smith who you see guarding guards at 3pt line

 

Yet, his switch defensive numbers aren’t bad. Also, it’s not that frequent.

 

Wemby is a true unicorn who can score from anywhere and defend. His game should mesh with anyone. Smith at the 3 might be problematic if he can’t tighten his handle and finishing. Though we saw the same thing with Ariza and it was fine.

I really, really, really hope we have this scenario next season!

 

Chicago was NBA best 8-0 when leading half-time.

This is their first loss in this season when leading at half.

Chicago was -5.5 at the beginning at the 3rd quarter. Lost by 18, 23. points swing.

 

Also, Garuba and Smith are more 3/4s than 4/5s imo.

 

They get paid massive amounts of money, I'm sure they can cope. None of our players are developed to the point they can really make demands just yet, eventually either the best of the bunch will emerge or they'll find the odd people out who don't fit the direction and then we've got a very valuable trade piece to find someone who does. It's not a problem, it's a bonus if we're in that situation in all honesty.

 

That's basketball. Kobe picked on Garnett. Francis on Tim Duncan. Garuba is a freak.
You're not going to have individual defense win. It has to be team defense and there is no reason why Wemby, who you guys hype up to be the next Lebron, Jabari who is excellent and Sengun who hustles can't make it work. Then you have Green, who can play 1 on 1 defense when focused and KPJ who has all the measurables to contribute defensively.

Who are we? The Spurs game was less than a week ago. I really enjoy this version.

 

I'd say this was his best overall game as a Rocket. I was super impressed even before the 4th quarter explosion. Let's see if he can keep this up against better defense. Promising game nevertheless.

 

Man the Vuc trade is looking like an all time worst trade. Orlando got WC, who is already better than Vuc, Franz, and a potential lottery pick? Wow.

 

Young team shows what it can be if we play as a team.

Sengun looked pretty nasty out there!

 

Something has to be wrong with the rotation when Green continuously is ineffective in the 4th. Or is it on Jalen?
