I dont even know how Wemby or Scoot improve this team w/o a coach that can instill discipline & be an actual leader & hold his team accountable.

I’m gonna be so hard if he goes away forever

Stephen Silas is quite possibly one of the worst coaches I have ever seen. There are few who are this inept. He cannot scheme a single play to beat a 2-3 zone, something my middle school coach was capable of.

Maybe so, but that’s where smart rotations and help side defense comes in to play. He has some good metrics in certain play types and he can weakside block ok.
Active hands in passing lanes. Making up for porous perimeter defense he will never be good at

Mostly I blame rotations. The bench got killed and that's on Silas, but there's plenty of players who didn't have great games if you just need to blame a player or group of players

Post game interview Silas said same as Mario …other than sticking with bench too long …

said get ball in the middle, and PnR on side to get our 3 vs their 2 and they just had trouble

that’s because Jalen and KPJ will spam dribble trying to beat their man…and neither are great at post entry passing

We also gave up 60+ in second half … Rockets started getting cooked on D

He does some good things out there. I just think that position needs to be upgraded. We need someone with more length. Doesn’t have to be a starter

They are actually wasting crucial development time on them.

Our bench badly needs TyTy and Jalen on court with Tari and KJ (insert any C)

playing EG - Nix - Tari - KJ - Garuba … all you have to worry about is EG

what are u gauging that sht on +/-?

kpj finally has the efficient high scoring game we all wanted, but man turn the ball over 5 times to 5 assist. that's not good.

down 6 pts u reduce his turnovers to b like everybody else and we probably win the game.

If u want to blame the loss on folks it's probably silas for not knowing how to coach against the zone and nix + garuba

Have you considered whether he is nice though?

He wasn’t the best player to me, because I think he failed in his primary role—that of a point guard. Would any other guard on the team have done better as a 1? Probably not. But they aren’t being asked to (besides Nix, and that’s a whole other story).

I’m actually in the camp that thinks KPJ can become great, but he needs an attitude adjustment and maybe a coaching change to realize his potential. And I do not think his development should take priority over our high draft pick guys because his ceiling is not as high.

This is just my opinion and I respect it if you think different, I’m just not a fan at all of how he plays like a very me-first guy and even less of a fan of how everyone on the team seems to be ok with it

KPJ post game is frustrating because he can verbalize what he’s supposed to do but he doesn’t do it on the court.

Literally says how to attack the zone and then said we played too slow…got into offense too slow.

Bro you the one who jogs / walks it up ‍♂️

I think the team desperately needs a center that can either thrive in the PnR or shoot the 3 while being a rim protector.

Bruno is the closest we have to that on the roster, I'm hoping we draft a real center with a higher upside than him in this draft.

“We just got static. Zone wasn’t anything. We knew exactly what they were doing. We just wasn’t moving fast enough.” — KPJ

“Coach said he gave you some rest to get fresh legs. How helpful was it?”
“It’s helpful. It’s the holidays, a lot has been on the mind.” — KPJ

(LOL I sh’t you not he brought up the holidays again. I thought it was a repeat interview from the other night.)

This team needs bigger wings. Doesn't matter who you have at the rim when the first line of defense is so porous.
