    Folks, don't listen to "Nathan Fogg" - who frankly sounds like fictional character from a 19th Century roman a clef.

    I myself- a genuine person of clutchfans dot net - started this rumor back in JULY

    ....and let me be the first to say that the status of this thread now means the rumor has crossed into the land of

    MULTIPLE SOURCES.

    I also said during the Philly game - watching a busted ass old Harden coming off a month on the couch with no J was better than watching KPJ - and i stand by that

    My perspective….things are going pretty good in Philly for him. Injuries have been Phillys biggest problem not a clash of personalities or anything like that.

    There was an interview last time when Philly came to play the Rockets in Houston a few weeks back (Harden's return) and there was a mention of how Harden already was practicing in the Rockets gym this past summer with Jalen, Jabari, JC and a few others and that they talk regularly throughout the season. Maybe this rumor really does have some legs? Who knows.

    All I know is having Harden's bball iq and ability to manage the game would be a godsend over KPJ and would really open up the game for our younger core players.

    I get that his athleticism has declined a lot and he can't really get to the rim anymore, but he's still a better shooter, better foul drawer, has better vision and awareness, and is still one of the best passers today - compare that to KPJ who is none of those things. We wouldn't lose anything on defense because KPJ is a ****ing traffic cone/headless chicken on defense anyways.

    You know the fanbase is down bad when folks are clamoring to bring in a declining 34 year old Harden. Just the perfect vet for this locker room.

    We need a point guard? Draft one. One of Scoot, Amen, Nick Smith will be there.

    Cut Gordon, take back no contracts let him go where he wants. Land Wemby #1. Sign Harden to a max, give Martin his extension. Cap room to spare and then some. Still have assets to trade/upgrade.

    This is the stupidest free-agent rumor I've heard. Some of these "reporters" need to be called out for making things up and putting these rumors out there. Harden has nothing to offer this current form of the Houston Rockets. If Stone brings back Harden, I'm going to immediately start calling for him to be fired.
