Is our coach literally insane? A ten year old knows that Nix should not play the same amount of minutes on the court as Sengun. You wonder why we get our butts kicked twice by the Spurs and there’s your answer. Just awful awful awful coaching to the lowest of standards. I’ve said it before, anybody on this board could do a better job (38-151) than this coach.
Most certainly needed another thread to question Silas minutes vs a certain player. Perhaps you should make one thread for each player compared to each player.
And they don’t play the same position so why does anyone think Nix minutes would effect Sengun’s? Nix wasn’t playing forward or center position he was always in the game with other bigs. If you wanna whine about Sengun’s minutes or Nix getting too many minutes you need to compare them to players they would actually replace on the court, ie minutes they’d be taking from players.

Well, there are 5 x 48 minutes to hand out. There is never a good reason to play Nix. You could play Green, KMJ, Tari, Jabari, Sengun. The minutes you gave to Nix could go to Sengun. Your post assumes that you always need a nominal PG on the court. I mean, Giannis took PG minutes, why not Sengun.
So Tyty should play more minutes? Dude with 9pts in only 4 mins. 4 mins tells how Silas dislikes our rookies. Why we hire this fool Silas as head coach...smh

I think Nix is not aggressive enough. I also think Coach Silas needs to take a break to get his head together from the passing of his father. He seems like he might be checked out mentally to me.
If the goal is a high draft pick ..... do you really want to beat teams like the Spurs ..... or do you want them to add to their W column? These games count double for the tank.
You always need a ball handler. Love Sengun but he’s not the kind of ball handler you want taking it up the court every play. You have guards, particularly point guards, for that. You can argue Nix shouldn’t be getting minutes but it’s not rational to compare his minutes to Sengun. They serve different purposes. Even in today’s practically “position-less” game, you have certain skills on the court at all times — you always have a dominant ball handler.
