on sportscenter today the rockets were projected to be a #4 seed by stephen a. smith. i know that he's not considered to be an expert analyst, but it feels good to at least get some recognition from the media. however, i would've felt alot better if the projection was made by an nba person like greg anthony...
well that projection was pretty realistic considering they were a playoff team the previous season and it was assumed that they'd keep the same nucleus of players...a #4 seed for us seems a little high for us w/o a pg and backup center. i'm thinking we'll be a #5 seed at best...
I don't know see why we couldn't be the 4th seed or higher. 1. San Antonio 2. Minnesota 3. Sacramento 4. Houston 5. Dallas 6. Memphis 7. Lakers 8. Nuggets
When you line the ducks up like that....I don't see how we can't be better than Dallas, Memphis, LA, or Denver. Thanks for the optimism. I needed that.
Yeah, but it looks like Utah will acquire Mehmet Okur AND Carlos Boozer. Those two guys along with the guys that were only a few games out of the playoffs will probably put them over the hump in Jerry Sloan's system.
I am with you. Plus Matt Harping is coming back and those young player got another year under their belts. Utah, despite it is the most hated team in the forum, will be a play off team.
Heres my Ranking 1: Wolves ( If healthy will be Crowned as NBA Champions) 2:Spurs 3:Kings ( i'm inclined to go with them oer the rox for Some UnKnown reason?) 4:Houston 5:Utah 6:Memphis 7enver 8:Suns
1. San Antonio 2. Minnesota 3. Sacramento 4. Memphis 5. Houston 6. Utah 7. Lakers 8. Denver I don't see us being better than Memphis if Hubie returns.
Swap the Suns With Dallas. infact i'll do it again 1:Wolves 2:Spurs 3:Kings 4:Houston 5allas 6:Memphis 7:Utah 8enver
1. San Antonio 2. Minnesota 3. Sacramento 4. Houston 5. Memphis 6. Utah 7. Dallas 8. Denver Crazy what can happen in 3 weeks time. Los Angeles went from championship contenders to not even in the playoffs. Utah, Denver, and Phoenix looks to have leap-frogged over Los Angeles in terms of powerhouses in the West. But I wouldn't put it past Kobe to get L.A. into the playoffs somehow. Even if he did, he would be knocked out in the first round.
1. Minnesota 2. San Antonio 3. Sacramento 4. Memphis 5. Houston 6. Denver 7. Dallas 8. Phoenix I think with the addition of Kenyon Martin, Denver has definitely gotta move up a couple spots. *Houston could move up a spot or two if we manage to get a solid pg and additional depth. I think if Sacramento ends up losing Divac, that'll hurt them enough that we have a shot at overtaking them (provided we make solid additions). *If Phoenix doesn't end up getting Richardson and thusMarion doesnt get traded for a big man, they will be in a dogfight with Utah for the 8th seed.
An Individual diversly talented player, has a bigger impact on a basketball team than they do on a baseball team. TWO siversly talented players, have an even bigger impact on a basketball team than they do on a baseball team. Especially when they have compatible personalities and playing styles.
No. It's too rare to see a NBA team with two of the top 15 players in the league not making to the playoffs. However, the general elevation of the entire western conference have made it possible, but very unlikely.
