In a couple of years , maybe we can (see Dominique Kirk of Bryan Adams High School in Dallas)

maybe...just maybe... but you didnt have to bring that up..."many fine" ? thats just low. I know we are struggling. outlook is great though.. No place to go but up.

This is all becoming quite comical.

    Lets get Barry!! Hes perfect!!

    Barry signs with SA.

What about Arroyo?? Hes young and is a true PG.

    Arroyo signs with Utah.

Hey, Hudson is still there. He can be had for the right price and would be almost as good as Barry.

    Hudson resigns with Minny.

Well, theres still Fisher. He has proven he can be productive on a two star dominated team.

    Fisher signs with GS.

What about that Rufus Benoit from the Yakima Sun Kings????

    :)

Here's an idea Codell .. crunch the numbers with Damon Jones against any of the point guards you have listed. I'll take DJ in a heartbeat over them. They simply don't stack up to him. Especially considering that Milwaukee was supposed to be a cellar dweller last year, I'll be ecstatic if we get him. We should. Now if we don't, some heads will be rolling until a better suitor comes.

I think we need ZRB's touch...he needs to post something like "We should never sign Jason Kidd! He sucks!"

Chronicle headline the next day? ---> "Rocket's sign Kidd!"

    ;)

I'm an Ag, but I had to laugh at that one. Get the shots in now. We feel great about what Coach Gillispie can do for our program.

Like someone mentioned, Dominique Kirk and Acie Law (going to be a sophomore this year) are going to be fine college PG's.
Pros?? No way to tell right now.

A&M just got the 2nd best player out of Illinois this year. Remember that the best player went #4 or #5 in this year's draft. Gillispie can flat out recruit, just ask Bill Self and any other college coach. I'm expecting it to take a few years, but Gillispie keeps insisting it won't take that long. The way he's recruiting, and the way I hear he can develop talent (especially defensively), I'm anxious to see what happens.

This might mean something, during the end of the Comets game (no I don't watch the Comets, but they were killing a team by 40+ so I turned it over), the announcer was talking about a few people in the stands. He mentioned Damon Jones was watching the game, and that he was looking for a team to play for.

Also, though it really means nothing, TJ Ford was there also. Let the rumors begin!

Damon used to go to a lot of Comets games last season (and probably before that as well). I heard that he was dating Tina Thompson - but I'm not sure if that's true or not.

It was already posted in this thread that these guys were in town. Jones is looking for a job because he is a FA.

If we are getting Jones, perhaps he was the only free agent willing to accept that compulsory attendance at Comets games clause. No wonder the other guys went else.

Couldnt have said it better myself.

What happened to all the players that "couldnt wait to come here"?

I guess they saw how disposable they were.

Don't worry HotRocket. Watching a few Comet games wont damage your manly-manliness (enter Hans and Franz quote here). You'll be ok.:p

    faith in the office:confused:

Remember Maloney, Moochie, Cato and their inflated rediculous contracts? I will say that recent events have been on a more positive note, but I wouldn't restore total faith. I do believe that Cato is a good fit in the east. He gets the deeeezull.

I think Jones would be well worth a look. The question I have is---

    - Are they looking for a short term veteran to help ramp up a prospect? OR...

    - Are they looking for someone out there for 6-7 years?

If we can sign Jones for 3 years and bring up our backups would that be ideal?
