*important-type edit* : It is cheaper to pay them not to retrofit their engines, and to still THROW THEIR TRASH OVERBOARD into the ocean...

No one gives a **** about those yokels in SD. They're proud and dignified. Don't need no handouts. Just jobs!

Pipe laying jobs and for the sake of Jesus, lay off the regs taking away those leaky pipe laying jobs!

**** thy neighbor, but love them enough to ****'em over again!

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, that's the meeting of the garbage minds, in the middle of the Pacific.

Meh...as if Corpus and Port A didn't have enough to deal with:

Invasive zebra mussels could cost Corpus Christi millions if they reach reservoirs

I heard that a lot of the garbage can't be seen by satellites because many are being decomposed by the sun into tinier bits that float just below the surface. Compounding that are the sea life eating up those shiny little bits. It's almost as if billions of people don't care or depend on that sea life for anything.

So it's not an effort of sending a bunch of ships to Atlantis to clean it up piece by piece. We'll need a lot more filters like the site the youtube links to. This is just one of many patches. One for each ocean current.

Massive trawlers with huge fine nets. Thousands of them. Over and over.

Us folks here in the Highland Lakes are pretty damn militant when it comes to boats. My buddy runs the marina on LBJ, he has straight thrown paying customers out of his place..."You didn't wash that boat did you?" "Uh..." "Get the **** out of my marina"

What a surprise! The pipeline had another spill...

A lot of foresight and a lot of denialism reading through this thread.
