You would think an actual %#$#^ing Ambasador would understand the value of being diplomatic, but apparently that is discouraged in Russia. He basically told the Kazakhstanis to stop talking s**t about Russia or they'd get a "special military operation" just like Ukraine. The arrogance of Russians to their neighbors is just truly insane. They threaten to invade, rape, and murder them and then complain about "Russiaphobia". Even the so-called 'opposition' Russians. When TV Rain was going to have their license to transmit revoked in Latvia, they showed up at the LATVIAN communications ministry for their OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT HEARING without an interpreter and demanded that the meeting be held in Russian. In LATVIA.
Love the response by Kazakhstan. Putin really wants to f*** around and find out, I guess. Dude is going to watch his country crumble from the inside out because he's an idiot.
'I fear a full-blown war between the West and Russia', Nato chief warns The head of the military alliance said it's a 'real possibility' the conflict could spill over https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/12/10/fear-full-blown-war-west-russia-nato-chief-warns/ excerpt: There is a "real possibility" that the war in Ukraine could spill over into a full-scale conflict between Nato and Russia, the head of the military alliance has warned, in some of his strongest comments yet on the threat of escalation. "I fear that the war in Ukraine will get out of control, and spread into a major war between Nato and Russia," said Nato secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg, responding to a question about his greatest fears for the winter in an interview. He told Norwegian broadcaster NRK on Friday that he was confident such a scenario could be avoided but that the threat was there. "If things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong," he added. To avoid a direct conflict, it is critical that Nato leaves no room for Russian President Vladimir Putin to doubt its ability to defend its member states, he said, pointing to Nato's increased presence in countries at the eastern edge of the alliance. "He knows it's one for all, and all for one," he said. "Nato's most important task is to prevent full-scale war in Europe and that is something we work on every single day." more at the link
So you agree with him that NATO needs to be more agressive to prevent Russia from thinking they can get away with stuff in order to prevent that posibility? ...or did you not actually read the whole thing?
Which is exactly why Kazakhstan said what they said. They know Russia can't handle a west supported Ukraine and even Kazakhstan.
This war has made it very clear that there is the United States and there is everyone else. We should stop worrying about what other countries are doing militarily, because we can apparently beat our closest rivals with proxy wars that cost 10% of our military budget.
AP News version of the story. Perhaps that will help. NATO chief fears Ukraine war could become a wider conflict https://apnews.com/article/russia-u...g-government-f01121d32693881920b1fe5e8c75b22d excerpt: KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — The head of NATO expressed worry that the fighting in Ukraine could spin out of control and become a war between Russia and NATO, according to an interview released Friday. “If things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong,” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said in remarks to Norwegian broadcaster NRK. “It is a terrible war in Ukraine. It is also a war that can become a full-fledged war that spreads into a major war between NATO and Russia,” he said. “We are working on that every day to avoid that.” Stoltenberg, a former prime minister of Norway, said in the interview that “there is no doubt that a full-fledged war is a possibility,” adding that it was important to avoid a conflict “that involves more countries in Europe and becomes a full-fledged war in Europe.” The Kremlin has repeatedly accused NATO allies of effectively becoming a party to the conflict by providing Ukraine with weapons, training its troops and feeding military intelligence to attack Russian forces. In comments that reflected soaring tensions between Russia and the West, President Vladimir Putin suggested Moscow might think about using what he described as the U.S. concept of a preemptive strike. “Speaking about a disarming strike, maybe it’s worth thinking about adopting the ideas developed by our U.S. counterparts, their ideas of ensuring their security,” he said. more at the link
