He's wrong, it's about the Bellinger talk.

He wasn't on the team in 2017, but maybe, since he's grown close to much of the team (though at this point, only Altuve, Bregman and McCullers remain). I feel like it's more likely about Contreras, since he would directly compete with his playing (and catching) time.

That's definitely eluding to what Bellinger said about the Astros. Bellinger can go fck himself, and if he joins I want a public apology to Altuve.

He can play the positions. Can he be a designated fielder though because he's Maldonado bad...

They should sign him, Bellinger, and let he and Martin fight it out like Beth and that vegan chick on Yellowstone. Now that was high-quality TV.

Why would Belinger even want to come here? Is he that broken as a player and person and with no confidence? There are several other good teams that he could fix himself. God to a low pressure good team like Tampa for 1 year at minumum and beat Jose Siri get some confidence and move on,

Signing Contreras could threaten Houston’s clubhouse chemistry — and it is a concern shared by multiple people within the organization. Incumbent starter Martín Maldonado guided the Astros’ pitching staff to the greatest season in franchise history and is one of the team’s unquestioned leaders.

The type of contract Contreras is commanding isn’t for a backup or part-time player. Should Houston sign him, it’s possible Maldonado could shift to a part-time role.

Playing Contreras in left field or at designated hitter would allow Maldonado to catch more, too, but at the expense of two major league-ready prospects who’ve outperformed Class AAA. Both Korey Lee and Yainer Diaz made their major league debuts last season and represent the future of Houston’s catching core. If Contreras signs, Maldonado might become a trade candidate.

“If we do sign somebody, we have to be prepared to let one of our young catchers go because it’s going to stunt his growth,” Baker said. “If we don’t sign them, you have to figure out which young catcher that you’re going to groom to possibly take Maldy’s spot. It is a pretty good situation when you have an older catcher and then a younger couple catchers that’s been groomed to take his job.”

It will do zero to hurt chemistry. Rome sucks balls.

“It will not effect clubhouse chemistry”

    - said by no one who knows whether it will effect clubhouse chemistry

machete just played a pivotal part in manufacturing one of the best pitching performances in regular and post season history.

Altuve is so classy he would meet with Bellinger in private and then come out to the media and tell everyone Bellinger is an Astro and it's time to focus on playing baseball and winning another World Series. I do feel like Crane would ask Jose how he feels about this move. If you think Altuve is going to draw attention to himself you don't understand him.

I'd rather sign Vazquez for 3 years, $9M annually, than be tied to Contreras for 4 or 5 years at a much heftier price. Let Lee develop, too.
